if there are people that posses psychic powers then why has nobody won the James Randi Foundation prize. This is a $1000000 prize for anyone that can prove in controlled conditions they have genuine powers. and yet in 30 years not one person has even come close.

http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html

here is a video of James Randi hilariously debunking someone called James Hydrick who claims to have so called powers

Because maybe the powers that be that granted people the powers, refuse to let them do it for their own gain?

They can't bust that. It's fact, not myth. At any one time we are only using 10% of our brain.

You might only be using 10% of your brain at any given time, but people use 100% of their brains over a longer period of time, such as in a 24-hour period. It's not like we have some hidden special ability that can be unlocked, giving us psychic powers.

The closest psychic I know is Shawn Spencer from Psych (the show tells that he is a psychic practically) and even he isn't a real psychic, just a modern, crazier and more off-topic version of Sherlock Holmes.

Sure. It can be possible, i think

I think stuff like that comes from the Pineal Gland, which I believe to be the third eye(so to speak). But it's dormant in a sense inside of most of us from not using it and/or by shutting it down with stuff like processed foods, flouride and stuff like TV which tend to put the gland to be less effective that by the time we're adults, the gland is completely dormant from lack of use. Awakeing thegland can improve our learning & memory ability, enhance our intuition, wisdom and creativity will come back to us, trigger our psychic abilities and experience bliss.

Another thing that makes it possible is the amino acids. Supposedly, we have 64 amino acid codes in our genetic code, but only 20 of those codes are active which tends to limit our abilities as humans. While the other codes are shut down, that means activities like clairvoyance, psychic healing and humand evolution in general are put on hold

I believe it is entirely possible, as we have yet to know the true potential of the human body and mind... but since I have not witnessed them in action, I cannot accept that they currently are practiced by the charlatans who take advantage of people for their money.

no. and i wish people would stop with the psychic BS. it's actually doing harm.

resources going to psychic "detectives" rather than to things that would actually help solve a case is harmful. charging people money to "talk" to your dead parents is harmful. propogating the general mindset of believing something for no good reason is harmful.

No. All psychics are charlatans. Anyone with basic knowledge of how cold reading works can do it.

that's a little misleading, it's a silly old wivestale that's misunderstood.

here's a good analogy: a tv that displays a 480i resolution only uses half of its pixels at any one time. yeah but you use the other half a split-second later. that's how it works. a CPU chip only has some of it's transistors on at any one time.

if we used all of our brain at once we would not function at all. all of our muscles would contract and we would basically be a vegatiable person until we started using our brains normally again. heck we might even die or go into a coma if that happened.

yes, but there's a reason why a person who have these powers can't perform for personal gain like money.

if people were in fact verifiably able to demonstrate psychic ablities, I would be okay with paying them.

the reason they shouldn't get money now, is because there's no demonstrable reliable evidence of anyone having psychic abilities. or is there? maybe there is some reliable evidence i haven't seen? why do you believe in psychic powers?

I think that if done for entertainment purposes, there is no harm. However, if one goes to a psychic for things such as medical, family, job, or financial advice, rather than seeing an actual-qualified person, then it may be harmful.

how is tax-funded psychic detectives not harmful? that money could have gone to actual experts who are much better at solving crimes. it shoudn't be allowed.

at least not until there is actual reliable evidence that psychic ablities exist.

depends what abilities - we use very lil of our brain after all- so yeah i believe that some people can access areas of the brain and use it more then a common person - doesnt mean i think they can make a chair fly across the room... it means i think they know more then normal people and have some abilities the brain is capable of so much just take deja vu or lucid dreaming - not even all people can do THAT
