I don't believe in anything until there is proof. Is there a possibility? Sure.

It's a nice thought.

But, no, there's nothing to suggest such a thing as the afterlife.

I'm kind of on the fence over whether or not there's life after death.

The afterlife doesn't have to be eternal. Maybe you're reborn again and again, living many different lives.

Asking if you believe in life after death is like asking if you believe in dry rain...and how much sense does that make?

No. I struggled with this growing up, but I've found peace. Stop worrying about the afterlife/death, and start living.

It's a part of life, I just can't envision everybody who has lived getting together in the after life and having a good time forever. Fairy tale stuff to me.

In my view, reason as the foundation of any afterlife hypothesis is needed. If there is one, it must be identifiable in theory or though observation in scientific terms. I have difficulty accepting proposals as facts simply because people say them to me in a crowd. I need substantial research into this topic beyond a cloth with an imprint of a single face or historical statues that people pray to for good luck and well-being.

I think, without meaning offense, that if there is truth to seemingly supernatural phenomena, they can be explained with science concluding whatever they may be as whatever they are, rather than how people would like them. Therefore, if life does exist after bodily death, I imagine it can be identified with science.

A very interesting question. I would like to. The evidence suggests otherwise. Sure, there are people who confess to have seen relatives and/or friends who have passed and communicated with them. I have not. It can be a depressing topic to think about. It's impossible to imagine not existing.

I'm open to the possibility. Won't know until you die. If there is an afterlife, hopefully it's better than this life.

@grimseeker: Mostly just in case. I love my life and I'm enjoying it immensely but when I die I want to stay dead. If there is an eternity it might be incredibly boring, if I am reborn into a new person I might have a horrible life, if I'm dead I won't care about being dead so what's the benefit of not wanting death to be the end?

You guys seem to be in denial because there is absolutely no shred of proof that there is any form of continuation after death.

Also the evidence is overwhelming and clearly shows that no one came back after they have died to tell anything about it.

So you guys seem to be in denial.

I find it ridiculous how the people on the Internet believe that they can simply write the world they wish to live in into existence.

You guys are either not very educated...or at all, blind, or you are simply in denial.

I believe in after life.I believe in Jesus.I believe in God.

Satan's biggest achievement was making humans believe there was no Heaven/Hell.

Believe what you all wish, when you die,it's to late to change your ideas/belief.

It's quite possible that there are forms of energy that we don't understand/cant comprehend that could leave the body when we die. Even considering this I don't believe that any form of conscious thought exists after death but I have no more proof than the people who do believe in it.

Nope. I mean, used to believe in reincarnation and that every living thing is made up of energy that never disappears, it just get's restructured/reformed/reshaped. So when we die, that energy that makes up who we are is broken down and redistributed through out nature. It may take centuries or millenniums to occur, but it could be possible for that energy that made up who you are to resemble into a new lifeform. The problem is there's a chance you won't automatically be human, you could probably come back as a cat, dog, bird, etc. And another problem is that you won't remember anything about your previous life.

Because of that, its pretty much a scam to think that way too. If you are reborn with no memory of a previous life, then you might as well say that you are a different person all together....
