I personally just started collecting basketball cards and was lucky enough to get a Topps Chrome Kobe Bryant card. I am also trying to get this and this.

Back in the 90s I collected football cards. The hobby's way too expensive now for its own good.

I play magic the gathering, but I don't do much collecting because I borrow most of the cards I use for tournaments.

I had an awesome hockey card collection, with a bunch of authentic game jersey pieces, but I think my mom threw it away when I went to college. :(

I collected baseball cards back when you could get them for an actually reasonable prices (50 cents to a dollar). Then they started costing 2, 3, 4 dollars a pack and you got less per pack. Then just when I thought my cards couldn't be anymore worthless, the baseball strike hit and ensured they would be worthless indefinitely.
