I do not drink. Its got to do with my religious beliefs and because my grandfather died from liver cancer.

I don't, because I don't like being in an altered state of mind or feeling like I'm going to throw up, and I'm sure I wouldn't enjoy a hangover. Besides that it just kind of tastes nasty, anything I could even swallow would be strongly fruit juice flavored (like coolers or something) so I may as well just have fruit juice.
ETA: and because if I did end up with an unplanned pregnancy, I would never forgive myself if I drank at all before finding out, even if the kid came out fine. I'd just feel so guilty my whole life even if it was just one drink.
yes, because i enjoy consuming alcohol beverages
i don't think there's any other plausible reason aside from attempting to fit in or something to the effect
[QUOTE="T_REX305"]well thats a stupid a reason I drink occasionallyNO WHY? because im underage
sboyer2
enlighten me on the stupidity of his decision, i can't seem to pinpoint it.
I'll go with milk ;3
What does age have to do with anything? Theres some magical transformation when you turn 18/21 which makes it alright? Not like if you have a sip of beer at 17 police come knocking at your door and arrest yousboyer2Well aren't we the rebel! : D
There should really be an age stipulation in the title of this thread.
And yes I do, for blatently obviouse reason.
I can tell you've never been drunk in your life and don't know the first thing about what it's likesboyer2No, I haven't. But I've thrown up just smelling beer, from a distance, so I'm not about to go chug one and see if I get the same effect. I've also had to deal with drunk people constantly and I don't really want to be an irritating burden on them like they've been to me more often than not. Not sure what your point is though, so I don't want to poison my liver and test how long it takes me to blow chunks or say something stupid. I've also never lit myself on fire, should I do that just to know what it's like?
Because all the other kids will think I'm cool....
But no really. I drink at home because I enjoy the flavours and I drink with friends to relax and have good time.

That's just when your insanely drunk though....which your right is for idiots, most people avoid drinking like that.... You can have a drink and not end up throwing up everywhere and making a fool out of yourself...

conistant
I know people who are underage and get drunk and hence title of thread.
Me too, I was one of them, yet I still stand by my proposal.[QUOTE="sboyer2"]I can tell you've never been drunk in your life and don't know the first thing about what it's likeXilePrincessNo, I haven't. The people who drink terrible beer to get as drunk as possible really are douchbags, especially the underage ones. It isn't something magical. It's not something great. Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with the intoxication. It's just a very dirty intoxication, and a lot of people take it the wrong way. Though drinking a very well crafted beer really is awesome. It's a very old beverage that deserves respect, imo.
Interestingly enough I went through my "hard" drinking phase before I turned 21. I haven't had a sip of any alcoholic beverage in years though. Getting a nice buzz on and hanging out with friends/people of the opposite sex is some of the most social type fun humans could have, even though I don't need to drink to interact with others or hit on girls. What sucks is the idiots who are just hellbent on getting wasted, especially if they are of the mean drunk variety, I try to avoid people like that.Yes, I drink because it's fun. It really helps me to drop my guard and get loose.

I enjoy drinking, but do not enjoy getting wasted. A light buzz is where I know I have had enough. I enjoy it, it helps me relax, and its fun with friends. i only drink what tastes good to me though. I wont drink beer unless im thirsty and dont want water or water is not available. xhellcatxSocial drinking is awesome too. After a long day at uni, its down the pub for a pint or two. I only drink to get wasted at parties.
Yeah, I drink every now and then, but I'm not one of those people who NEED to drink every weekend, and I never get wasted.

Yes, I drink often, just not to get drunk. Nothing can match the tastiness of some good brews (particular Porters, some Stouts, a nice floral IPA...) plus the complexities of whiskey/bourbon will keep me interested for the rest of my life probably. I also love the taste of wine, especially whites but I won't ever turn down a Merlot.
It seems like most of the dumb drinkers (only to get wasted) are not even of the legal drinking age. I'm not saying I don't do that occasionally (I'm 22) but if that's the sole reason you drink then I don't understand it.

1. I like the taste. Especially an ice-cold beer on a hot day, or a good scotch straight up on some ice.
2. It works well as a social lubricant (I am a 1-on-1 conversationalist, and get nervous and become a listener in large crowds when I'm sober).
3. It is fun to drink with friends and get inebriated (not drunk, I only feel really bad the next day after getting really drunk).

I dont really do much when i get that way. Just drink. And talk about whatever my friends are talking about, and state random facts that arent true. The last time I got smashed when I was feeling down, I sent a not very nice and very confusing text message to my ex because I was angry at her for dumping me. But when I'm happy, getting drunk just makes my livelier.
