I live in Southern California too but I love it here and I love the area where I live. I'll probably move back to suburbia to start a family someday but for now this is too fun.

I also live in Southern California. I like it for the most part... good weather aside from those few excruciatingly hot days in the summer. Sales Tax does blow though.

What's so bad about Southern California? I wish I lived in such a warm climate. I hate being cooped up indoors all winter. It drives me bananas.

It's quiet and peaceful, but there's not that much to do. I still prefer it to the city.

I like it here but the summers are absolute murder sometimes, last year it got to nearly 42C outside the hottest in 110 years in the region and forest fires galore.

Lol, you think it's hot there? You have a temperate climate. The only down side to arizona, is you have to expect 124 degree weather in the summer...

Well for what I'm typically adjusted to, it's hot. I was unaware you had to live in the middle of the desert to consider it a hot day....

I hate Iowa and I hate the part of Iowa where I live. The second I get my degree I'm gone. I can't stand this place. The best I have for Iowa is that it's a good place to die. I'm nowhere near that age so It's not really for me.

I live in Fargo, North Dakota. It's okay. It's actually a great place to live, and it's especially great for families. However, I'm 18 now and I'm damn bored of it...and I'm sick of the crazy extreme weather (100 F in the summer, -40 F in the winter, floods, blizzards, tornadoes, etc.). I want to move to the east coast.

Well, going by what your saying, if you lived in a cooler climate for a few years, wouldn't you adjust to it in the same way? Making it seam like the summers are just as hot...I've seen people who live up north, were it might get to 100 in the summer, and they say that is excruciatingly hot...so basically no matter where you go, you'd probably be complaining about the heat in the summer.... And I was just saying that its not hot in comparison to Az, cause you made it sound like it cant get any hotter then your location, like you are the only one who has to put up with exceptionally hot summers...

I enjoy my town quite a bit. Its a suburb of Oklahoma City, but its still got that small town feel. We are fairly wealthy, probably wealthiest overall in Oklahoma.

It would be nicer if there were more things to do.

I like where I live in New York. I'm right on the border of New Jersey, so gas is always cheap.

Rent is way too expensive, it's too liberal, traffic is nuts, taxes are crazy, and we're(the State) in debt up to our eye-balls.

But it's safe, I grew up here, the schools are good and it's home.

I'm quite happy with where I live, close to the harbor and fresh sea breeze. The high ceilings is also great for keeping the place relatively cool during the Summer too.

I live in the north west of England. It's not too bad, but there's a lot of kids in my area that seem to think they come from an American ghetto. In fairness that is very (very very) little to do around here.

The area I live in has it's up's and downs, some good things about it is that it's close to the city, close to the university I go to, and close to resturants and cafe's. The bad part about it is that you tend to see a lot of dodgy drunk people that linger in the park across the road from my house.

Sometimes I like living where I live, other times I hate it

It's very difficult one to answer since i live in Cornwall in the UK, not far from the north coast and between two fantastic beaches. The towns and cities from where i live are pretty tacky, and you'll have to go over a eighty miles to see a decent city. So the up side is during the summer it's a very nice place to live, but during the winter it's damn cold and not a lot to do.

I have to travel over a hundred miles and cross the bridge to Wales, heading to Cardiff just to experence a good nightclub that doesn't play chart music. How much you enjoy the area where I live depends on what you are able to make of it.

Starting your own business here is difficult, and was the reason I got derailed in life, like some of you may of heard me go on about in other posts. Pretty much, don't bother. If Asda or the other supermarkets have their thumb in it you can't complete, don't even try. The IT side of things is over-flooded also, and only do a seasonal job if your willing to travel or got something lined up in the winter. The government treat the working people with zero remorse, and you think we live in a world where they won't let you starve in the street, you'll be wrong!

I could go on and on. I'll just post some pics instead.

Newquay Town, if there is such a thing in Cornwall, then this is the happening place.

Bodmin moor, I live near here. It's a large area and if you ever see anyone you don't like hiking about up there it's a good place to get any with murder.

You need a car, forget about this 'go green' and save the world crap. Leave that for the city folk, down here you need a car, seriously.

No, I hate it. I live in an isolated town (Fort McMurray, AB) that is 3 hours drive away from Edmonton. We're in the middle of nowhere, everything is more expensive here ($2400 rent??) because you supposedly make more money. There is tons of drug addicts and I honestly met the worst people I ever met in my3 years here.I can't wait to move back to the maritimes.

A beach and a forest, plus a big city close together. Sounds like the type of landscape you'll get in a Final Fantasy Game. One moment your in a frozen tundra, the next screen loads up and your trekking through sand dunes.
