Squidward I feel like gets screwed all the time. Poor guy's life sucks. I mean think about it.. His vision for a perfect day is to NOT be annoyed to death and to play his flute and he can't even have that?

Freakin SpongeBob is obnoxious but gets everything he wants. That show p*sses me off sometimes.

Also, King Kong? I don't know if he's supposed to be rooted for, but I always have rooted for him and it sucks he dies..I hated the people in that movie.

[QUOTE="The_Last_Ride"][QUOTE="CreasianDevaili"]Law Abiding Citizen. Letters to Iwo Jima/Flags of our Fathers as a combination. Lonesome Road fallout:NV DLC. The Green Mile. Those are a few movies where both good guys and bad guys, can easily be switched around. You can see both sides. So sure.sSubZerOo

yeah i agree with Law abiding citizen, great movie, was cheering for the villain in that movie. Which i never do

:| Why? Looking past the vengence part, he not only killed both men that murdered his family.. He tortured them to death.. Then he started killing tons of innocent people, from the defence lawyer, to the judges.. I mean really..

Guess it is in context. None of their jobs makes them innocent. It is a career yes but it is one dealing directly with people's lives. It is no different to some people for a hospital to sit back in chairs, sipping a drink, while seeing who deserves that kidney transplant more based on donations/funding/insurance. The main guy made the prosecutor truely feel the seriousness of what is within his hands. It took him killing all these people that the lawyer didnt give a **** about to do it. Been a 10 minute movie if he had killed the dude's wife and kid. But that wasn't the point.

To this Day, I still believe Macbeth was the hero of Macbeth. I don't care what my English teachers all said, I rooted for him right til the end!! Yet in the end if the general consensus is that Macbeth was indeed a villain, then yes I felt sorry for him as a villain.

Yes, every single person has felt bad for the villian. I speak of one villian, more of an antagonist. The Trix Rabbit. Give him some ****ing cereal, demon children.

All the time, every time a henchman die, I always think that someone somewhere just lost someone close to them, and a lot of times the people the heroes kill are innocent people. Like in Iron Man 2 when that female shield agent took out a bunch of guards and one of them was left to hang by the neck.

Sometimes I do but not for the bad guys themselve...more for their henchman (or simply the heroes' enemies) like for example in matrix...Neo and trinity killed a bunch of guards and police officers who were pretty much doing their job, and we all know what happens if you die at the matrix. also in some videogames I genuinely feel bad, for example like someone here said in deus ex HR, you realize most guys arent even bad, they are just security guards who get payed for doing their jobs (you know, security) or simply a bunch of kids who get guns, like those "gangstas" in the satellite mission...

For some reason I don't feel sorry for characters that I kill in game at all, but I feel sorry for them when it's in cutscenes. In The Witcher, I would go around the city at night cutting old ladies head of, and in GTA games I would go around hitting people with cars, but in cutscenes where the protagonist kills someone who I believe didn't deserve it I would feel sorry for them.

Sometimes, yes.

I felt bad for the murderer in Heavy Rain, it's quite sad once you know how he became that way.

Totally agree with this. Just because his wife was a power-hungry whore and he was deliberately trolled by three hags! Poor Macbeth.

I always held a tinge of regret when Mr. Freeze lost ( except when Arnold played him). He's not really a bad guy. He just wants to help his wife.

... With that logic no one is innocent because I can make any kind of abstract measure to what I think is innocent or guilty.

It is a career yes but it is one dealing directly with people's lives. It is no different to some people for a hospital to sit back in chairs, sipping a drink, while seeing who deserves that kidney transplant more based on donations/funding/insurance.

Where in the hell does a judge fit into this? Their job is to decide what justice is, and if enough evidence has been made beyond a reasonable doubt.

The main guy made the prosecutor truely feel the seriousness of what is within his hands. It took him killing all these people that the lawyer didnt give a **** about to do it. Been a 10 minute movie if he had killed the dude's wife and kid. But that wasn't the point

Yeah, the Batman villians are another group that have sad stories. Mr. Freeze and Two-face, and the new Red Hood.

Just a few off the top of my head: Macbeth - Had I died but an hour before this chance/It is a tale told by an idiot.... Vincent from Collateral - He acted like a friend to Jamie Fox's character (at times), and I wish he had more development. Norman Bates from Psycho - Check out the sequel, gives much insight into the character of this tragic villain William Foster from Falling Down - I suppose everyone can relate to this character on some level Alec Trevelyan From Goldeneye - "Loyal to the mission, never to your friends" Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver - Same reason as Will Foster Roy Batty - "Time to die" Light from Death Note - Shows how someone can lose their minds with power.

Quite often there are villians with incredibly tragic pasts. Sniper Wolf in MGS1 for instance got a lot of people tear up or at feel for her before the end.

I feel bad for killing Margerat Moonlight in No More Heroes 2. She was already disarmed. Gutting her wasn't necessary. Furthermore he didn't finish the Seppuku by beheading her quickly.

Jeane from No More Heroes 1 was also very tragic if you know the true story with her.

Tragic villains yes. Like Francis Hummel in The Rock. Also pretty much anyone who fights for a good cause but is the antagonist in the movie. Then you have people who are flat out part of a villanous group but are good people. The "good Nazi" character per se.
