I think I do. Sometimes when I'm talking to friends, I notice that I say the same thing over again, as though it were a routine. I try to say something different sometimes but I feel like I'm just acting as though I'm some sort of barrier. Another problem is that I'm very sensitive and do not like hurting people's feelings, or even thinking that I might hurt people's feelings even if they insist that they don't mind.

Things are looking up though. So, I was wondering if anyone else felt like that?

I used to feel like that, but I figured that if people can't tolerate what you feel, then they're not really your friends.

Sometimes, I don't really get too many chances to practice on it since my friends went off to college though.

This reminds me of Spock.

Anyway, yeah, I often feel like I have difficulties with expressing my feelings. I definitely don't lack emotion, but I'm really bad at expressing it properly.

Perhaps "over-sensitive" would be the better word, where I feel as though I have to deprive myself from emotion in some situations.

I haven't had that problem really. I'm concerned about other's feelings more than most but whether I'm doing right or wrong is what concerns me more than that even. The rest is something I wrote in a recent post of the same topic:

I'm fine with how my emotions are. I don't consider myself to be a weak person and my emotions do not negatively affect my actions usually yet I am an emotional person in ways it can be helpful. I don't cry or anything when it comes to myself but I become emotionally involved with others in ways that I can share their pain and release their burdens. I have also been known to cry on occasions like when family members come to faith in Jesus Christ or when my brother began not only becoming active in the church but starting his own ministries. I've cried more out of happiness or praises towards God more than anything.

Only time I can ever think of my emotions being a bad thing is becoming too emotionally involved too quickly in my last relationship. I'm okay now though

I can never cheer in a crowd. It always ends up being some halfhearted "woo" or a golf clap.

Suppose he meant sensitive as in being sensitive to what others say about him.

Genetic_Code

Sometimes. Honestly for me it depends on how well I know the other person and how they react to certain things. Other reasons I find this happening is from either a lack of confidence, shyness, a loss of words for not knowing how to actually remedy what the other person says to you, inexperience or, as you said, fear of hurting their feelings.
