Do you ever go out to bars/pubs/clubs by yourself?

I havent but i think i might start as it forces you to actually get out and meet people and not be content in your own social circle! I think a sign of true confidence is being able to just go out by yourself and not worry about the people who wonder why you are by yourself and think you have no friends. Lol if you see someone in a line by themselves is this what you think? They have no friends?Or do you just assume he/she has friends to meet up with inside or whatever. I guess it would depend on their body language, standing there alone being open and confident is completely different than standing there alone with hands in pockets and slouching! I would love to hear your views :)

People who go out by themselves must have no friend. No seriously thats just weird I don't think its any true sign of confidence whatever makes you sleep at night though.

So you have a greater opinion of the person who goes out with his/her friends and just goes sits in the corner with their friends all night (which ALOT of people do) than the person that goes out and bes social and trys to meet new people?

your saying i cant meet new people while i'm with my friends? Maybe some people just like to sit in corners but haven't you heard of the get your best brofriend and meet some chicks or even a guy? Of course i have a greater opinion of people who bring friends because at least i know they have friends and aren't just sitting alone.

I sure have. I've met a lot of interesting people going alone. There's always people at the bar.

Strip Clubs, Yes. I've met a lot interesting women there. Dance clubs, no, I don't recommend going alone, Unless it's very local.

My social problems ensure that I never go out on my own. Even with friends I can still feel a little anxious.

Sounds like you have self esteem issues....I suggest you get some help for that. I used to be kind of the same way but I just said screw it and I got better.

I did once for wings. 20 cent wings. Ordered, ate, paid and left. Didn't linger and didn't have anything to drink.

A few friends of mine do sometimes, but I never have. It doesn't help that I think they're overpriced.

normally no.. i used to before, occasionally, because i would be sure i would run into someone i know but things changed and peoples i know either moved away or don't regularly go out anymore. if more peoples did this then it could be fun but most peoples stick to their own group of friends like you said and i'm not really the type to butt in and start a conversation out of nowhere.

Yes I go specially to watch sporting events I can't get at home beacuse of no satelite tv. Somtimes I go to bars to eat food or just have a quick beer or two as well. For most part me m y partners prefer to drink at home it's cheaper.

I won't argue that I don't have the highest level of self-esteem. But I've been this way for so long it's sort of like I just don't know how to think any differently......it really is stupid how afraid I am of just simply talking with people :P It would unfortunately take a lot more than just simply putting myself out there to overcome this.....but I can pretty stubborn so I've just kind of dealt with it.....which clearly hasn't done me any favours.

No, I go with my brother and his girlfriend. They're in a band together, so I get to meet lots of new people by hanging out with them. I don't think I have the courage to go by my own.

No. I'm usually with my girlfriend or my friends. I hate going to clubs, and pubs and bars aren't all they are cracked up to be. I'd much rather have a beach fire or a BBQ and get drunk there with my friends.
