The majority responses here are really strange to me. When I go to see a movie, I go to see a movie. Having other people there (hopefully) sitting quietly next to me in no way enhances my experience. What is it that everyone is getting out of it?xaosThe journey there, the queuing up and the journey back.

Hmm, I dont really see the appeal still, since for me ideally that will all be a few minutes as opposed to the 2 hours or so of movie time
No, never. I can't see R rated movies so if I want to go see one I have to bring a parent, unless I sneak in. And if I can get to the movie on my own, I've always got friends that go with.
I'm sure once I'm older I'll go to a movie by myself. Unless the movie is really stupid, you wouldn't be talking to the people anyway.
