Do you ever try to reconnect with lost friends?

This one girl I kind of liked (well....see my last blog post lol), she asked me to hang out some time ago but I declined. Another friend put me on phone with her but I declined that time too. After that I think things between us became tense and we don't talk any more. But I really miss her company, would it be awkward if I asked her to hang out? (its been a few months since we last spoke). I don't really like her that much anymore, but I would like to see her again.

Not really because most of my lost friends really aren't all that great.

I do have one best friend that has been a good friend of mine for roughly 7 years now that I always keep in touch with.

I have a friend who finally figure out she was gay after having four kids, I mean WTF it took you that long..

No all of my lost friends are lost because either I left the country or they left.

Whenever I loose a friend its usually for the better.

When MySpace was all the rage, I reconnected with some childhood friends I hadn't talked to in 7 years. I decided to disconnect from them, because they were different people now; I'd rather remember them how they were, rather than who they are now.

Kind of sad really...

Depends on what kind of friend they were and what the circumstances were for why we fell out of touch. Generally I'll try but if they don't show any motivation to stay in touch I say screw them lol :P

Not unless they move into my neighborhood. Not going to travel a distance just to meet them for a few days :/

Been there before... Only in my case I was the one calling the girl after I hadn't seen her in months.

I go to college in Iowa and I'm from Minnesota so it's tough to stay in contact with my high school friends. I spent some time with them this summer, but now that classes are starting up again I'll probably go until Thanksgiving or maybe even next summer until I even think about most of them.

let the ppl of the past stay in the past,i've tried reconnecting with old friends a few times and none of them were like what they were before.

sometimes i reconnect with people.

sometimes you cant, people change a lot.

in the cases were i seem to be able to reconnect, the phrase "the more things change, the more things stay the same" seem pretty spot on.

No theres a reason why I became disconnected in the first place.

I see them once in awhile and its basically small talk and usual hey lets go out for a beer but I have no intention of doing that.

If I had any interest in them, then we never would have lost touch with each other in the first place.

i moved around a lot so have quite a few lost friends. never really reconnect but do sometimes wonder where and how they ended up. i tried to get back in touch a couple of times but usually it just bleeds dry after two or three e-mails back and forth because you just realize what once was isn't anymore.

in your case you should try to get back in touch though. a couple of months isn't that long and if you feel the person is worth it then go for it before it's too late.

I humor them by confirming them on FB, and the occasional back and forth messaging, but that's about it.

I have them added on Facebook, but that's about it, we don't talk to each other anymore...

I somewhat did awhile back, but at the same time it's not something I'm going to go out of my way to do.

Of course , i'm always trying to reconnect with freinds from school or college who have drifted away for jobs or moving to another city :)
