Ask the Mod boards. It's where you ask questions about moderations you have/may receive.
Oh, I made that connection before I checked your reply.. but I had to think about it for a little bit. Anyways, I never go there. I don't expect to change the moderates minds after I've been moderated. As that conflicts with the nature of authority figures.[QUOTE="LZ71"][QUOTE="EMOEVOLUTION"] what are the ATM boardsEMOEVOLUTION

Well, since there are different mods, and there is always the chance of being moderated over a misunderstanding, or a mod having a bad day, it's always worth the try. I've had a couple moderations reversed before. It depends what i did... if i was a real jurk then yes..... but if say it was misunderstood then well i dont mind cos i have a long way to go till i get banned for anything trivialWollshow do you know how long you have? In regards to the TCs question sometimes i rage. Mainly i feel its justified.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who reads the AtM boards. :P I read umm lol. They can be funny ive almost posted in them! Can you Post is that a trap they setup to get unsuspecting peeps?[QUOTE="topsemag55"]I've seen some really nasty and uncalled-for threads in the AtM forum.
Half of the moderations would not occur if people would read what they are supposed to (stickies, ToU). I lost count of the number of replies where the answer was "If you had read and followed the sticky at the top of the forum, you would not have been moderated."

wow thats lame... i got a warning once for asking what people thought of win7 in the pc games forum. Made me angry. I know they have a job to do but I do hate forum mods with a passion and although the mods here are pretty professional other forums they aren't. They can be rude, obnoxious and self satisfying using the 'rules' and 'someone has to do it' excuse for their bullying. Try using certain programming forums and you'll see what I mean These forums are full of know it all eggheads. Many who don't agree with opinions or have heard it asked years ago before will instantly lock your topic claiming you're stupid. THE best example I've ever seen is years ago when I suggested language editors should color the open and close bracket the same so you can find them easily that is the: loop { do this } and that they should auto fill the command when you press the first 2 letters. Immediately a mod started.. syaing that all the code will look like xmas trees dont be so stupid smiley face smiley face hahaha and then mentioned how difficult it would be to teach people stuff if it filled in text for you and you should use proper indentation blah blah After several exchange posts with other 'mods' the post was closed. Ironically a couple years later some editors started to do this (not by color but by highlighting the other one if you moved over any) and the autofill is now pretty standard in all editors.I got moderated one because I posted and off-topic forum saying merry xmas >.>

I don't really care. If you have to be a little girl and report me, that just makes me all the more better than you.

no, i feel anger :x. then i look at the reson i was moderated, and think "what!?!?" and feel even more anger
No since I dont take any of my moderations seriously. It usually has something to do with trolling. And I'm always being completely serious or truthful. Hell, I once even got moderated for typing "this ^". No lie. I have no idea why they moderated me for it.
I have only been moderated a handful of times. Of those times I never felt guilty but I tried to learn from those moderations. Of those that were deemed offensive, I've tried to understand why and I try to figure out how to say the same idea minus the negatives.
As an example, a general rule I try to keep in speaking is to be in the mindset of "We need Jesus" rather than "You need Jesus." If presented in the latter then the reader might feel judged unjustly. If in the former then it feels less like a personal attack and gives a sense of "we're in this together" (even though many of you are atheist and even anti-Christian). However, I still need to work on how I phrase and word things in regards to things like homosexuality.

I don't expect to change the moderates minds after I've been moderated. As that conflicts with the nature of authority figures.Mods are volunteers that are GS users, and humans. We make mistakes, I can think of several I've had reversed that I messed up on. And correct them (for the most part IMO) when we make them. I think the Admin are the authority figures, I don't look at myself as any sort of authority figure at all, just someone who loves posting here and helps some as well.
Eh, mostly annoyed. I was moderated once. Suspended on that single moderation. I deserved it though. Didn't feel bad at all for doing what I did. Just became wiser. Wiser than the mods ever could become. They can only can notice, let alone mod you if you disobey the rules/step into their well laid traps. They are thirsty for blood, and I will not quench it. That's right mods. I'm invincible. 8) (I'm joking mods :))
No, most of the time its for calling people ignorant
Random Guy "My country is the only one that matters"
Me: "Thats ignorant"
You have been modded.
I honestly don't care. I use GS as a time-waster...besides, unless my employer/future employer is an active member that knows that this account is associated with me, my actions on here won't have very much of an effect on my life.ff7fan2yeah......about that........
