Do you find SpongeBob Squarepants disturbing?

Tell me after viewing this image, Patrick drew in the episode "patty caper".

I saw this episode a while ago and after searching google I found it. One of my mates took the picture and I want your opinion on the subject OT.

I still enjoy the older episodes. The show is pretty screwed up sometimes.

No, I really liked the older episodes, the newer episode's aren't good, they lack the charm of the older ones.

Yes, I find it disturbing that the show went from being funny as hell to just downright horrible.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm 28 and I sometimes watch SpongeBob if it's on while I'm cleaning the kitchen. :)

SpongeBob rarely actually disturbs me...but then again, I was in college when I first started watching it. I know there are some things that would have scared the crap out of me if I'd seen it as a kid.

Ohhhh, I get it. I was about to ask how that was disturbing but then I realized it was supposed to be David Hasselhoff ...

Anyway, no I don't really find it disturbing, but as everyone here has said, older episodes were better and that honestly makes me sad. I remember it being my favorite show when I was a little kid and now they turned Spongebob into a...um....well, for avoidance of a rather offensive word, a mentally underdeveloped childlike character. He was naive before but now they are just making him downright dumb. Most of the jokes aren't as funny anymore either and they have made it more "kid appropriate" which is a shame because now the jokes aren't as funny, everything on the show is dumbed down now.

No, in fact, I still LOL at it from time to time.

I think it aired on MTV for a while and then theres the "adult" version of Ren & Stimpy that aired on Spike

Spongebob used to be the kind of show that both kids and adults can love....but I personally think that they've been getting a lot of black humor in the show so it might not result so funny/appropiate for kids anymore.

There is nothing disturbing about SpongeBob, other than perhaps the fact it is superficially/commercially aimed at kids, but with adults in mind.

It is right up there with Ren & Stimpy in terms of quality.

I didn't back in the day when I watched it but when I see some of the new ones they are horrible
