Not me. Personally, it's a pain to get there, and when you're there, it's a mess. I hate the way streets are, and I don't like paying for parking. I'm in Denver, by the way. So, if you go downtown, what city is it for you, and what's it like?

Downtown Denver is a slice of heaven compared to downtown SD. :lol:Not me. Personally, it's a pain to get there, and when you're there, it's a mess. Not as much as I'd like to. Downtown is nice. Great stores, some good buskers, and it's nice to beamong people once and a while. Forunately it's very close to where I live. It'd be cool to find a job there.
Misleading topic title is misleading.
As for me, yea it's not so bad, but I live in a small city, and by some standards where I live would just be called a town.
I love downtown Chicago. My hope is to move there sometime in the not so distant future.Downtown is Chicago for me and I love it there. We usually take the train in and then do lots of walking. Not used to driving down there yet, maybe one day. But yea it's awesome and I love being there.

People actually dislike Denver? I've lived in the metro area most of my life and getting around there is easy. How are the streets a problem? They're set up as a grid. Yes, that grid is turned 45 degrees from the cardinal directions, but it's a grid....
Sometimes, but not when there's a bloody jam.
Actually, all the time... I work in downtown Toronto.
I live in Jacksonville, FL and downtown is rather quiet compared to other cities I've visited. Most of the activity in the area happens in the suburbs and surrounding beaches, not downtown. I do hate how getting around downtown can be confusing with the way streets/parking are setup. I mostly only go downtown to attend things related to the Jacksonville Jaguars, like tomorrow's Monday Night game.:)
My school is around 5 minutes walking distance from downtown, so it's easy to go to a few stores down there (candy store, band clothing store, comic store... :P)
Basically, there's a big-arse hill behind my school with an old fort inside it. If you walk around it, your downtown.
I'm not old enough to go downtown for the majority of what it hold, assuming that's what OP means.
Hah, then I'll never go there! :PYeah downtown Denver is one of the nicest major city downtowns in the country. Like it in the times I've been down there.

They're kind of letting the city go around here. They can't afford workers to trim the trees or bushes and theres litter everywhere. I try to avoid going downtown.

Anything that has to do with property/real estate and the local government, we have to get it done downtown whether in AZ or NY.
Since University of Ottawa campus is located in downtown Ottawa, all I have to do is step outside my apartment and I am already in downtown :D It is relatively small compared to other big metropolises of Canada, but still is a lot larger than the USA town where my parents live and where I went to high school to.the_ChEeSe_mAn2
Hey, nice to see another U of O student.
On topic, I have to go into downtown Ottawa for school, but it's not so bad. I'll either park at my moms work an walk about 6 or 7 blocks, or use park and ride and just bus in. Driving in downtown Montreal is a bit annoying, but as long as I pay attention (especially to "one way" signs) I'm fine.
You live in Denver also? Nah, South Carolina.
Oh, Lucas. My wife and I went downtown yesterday. Lot's of people there.Pirate700
Yes, quite often.
First of all, I have to go through downtown to go to uni every day.
And besides that the centre of Athens is generally nice. There are lots of things to do: Ermou St. where you can shop (clothing mostly), Plaka where you can see Akropolis and have a coffee at a cafeteria, Monastiraki and its many little tourist shops, Panepistimiou St. with the Academy of Athens, the National Library and the neocIassical building of the University of Athens, the big treed park around Zappeio right next to Syntagma etc.

Deal. I've been back-tracing him for months now.Sometimes....
I live in Vancouver...The downtown scene is O.K.
Actually...nevermind...i hate downtown Vancouver. My town is full of imbeciles who think they live in hollywood or something. I don't know where all this ego has come from.
This is what the olympics looked like here. Not Fun! lol.
