I'm really not a fan of DT Vancouver either. I've been there about 10 times or so in my 6 years of living in White Rock, which is like... less than an hour away from it.Sometimes....
I live in Vancouver...The downtown scene is O.K.
Actually...nevermind...i hate downtown Vancouver. My town is full of imbeciles who think they live in hollywood or something. I don't know where all this ego has come from.

well I used to live in downtown chicago and now I live like 20 minutes away from it so yes I go there quite frequently.
I am disappointed too.was this supposed to be innuendo. I came in this thread expecting it :(

Occasionally, yes. It's kinda cool to see buildings older than the country they stand in, so I suppose I'll go for the sight seeing aspect. On the down side, one way streets suck.

I lived in Toronto for 8 years and going from North York (where I lived) to downtown TO was a big difference. Almost felt like going to a different city altogether. But since I moved from Toronto 5 years ago, North York has tall apartment buildings growing everywhere now :(Sometimes....

NO! I absolutely hate going downtown. I know some folks love it, but I really am not into that whole scene.

same here
[QUOTE="Bluestorm-Kalas"]Misleading topic title is misleading.Dracula68I thought the same exact thing...oh I need to remove my head from the gutter. I am surprised actually it took all these posts till now for someone to notice. It's a JustPlainLucas thread. I automatically look for a hidden meaning in his titles. :P
I go downtown in El Paso only if I need to buy something cheap, or I'm going to some event or museum.
it's alright sometimes, i guess. though there are definitely bad parts of my downtown, which is Atlanta :P takes me about 25-30 minutes to get there, it might take less if the I-75 traffic didn't get so damn backed up around Georgia Tech.

funny, I thought this topic was about something else. >.> heck no I dont, downtown Los Angeles is hella crowded.AllicrombieBecause this is another one of his "clever" titles. Thank god it didn't turn into "I'd take you downtown dohohoho :>>"
I am disappoint. :x
I go downtown every once in a while, I guess.
I live in a nice neighborhood, though.
Downtown for me (back where I live and where I don't go to school anyway) is a good 15 minute drive, where there's some hipter art galleries, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and small venues. It's actually kinda nice.
I live in a town of 40,000. Downtown consists of about 10 blocks.
However, the good news is that:
A.) its a rich area, so the restaurants and food are good
B.) its a college town, so there are a good number of bars
C.) there is a really, really good pub downtown
Downtown LA has it's moments. I like going to The Standard ever now and again, but I hate Club Elevate. I always get molested by some woman in there. All in all, Downtown L.A. is a good place to be is you want to drink, dance, and probably meet some strange people.clayron
I stayed at the Standard a while bac - I liked it there. Bit quirky if I recall... That was the Hollywood one though not the one downtown...
Anyway, downtown in Melbourne is............... well I don't even know where downtown actually is. We don't have a downtown. If we're talking heart of the city, then its great - lots of quirky bars hidden away. Is that downtown? Ho hum.
I go downtown like once a month usually to watch the Raptors,Leafs or Argos rapsrule4No love for the Jays?
Downtown Toronto is tons of fun regardless of what time you go.

True! I go downtown whenever I can
