Do you hate free writing?

Every time my teachers give us a "free-write" assignment, my head totally blanks. My creative stats are near zero.

Why do teachers give free-write journal assignments? Are they sadistic?

No. It allows me to write the most riciulous **** possible. If you are having trouble with writing you're trying way too hard. My stuff went along the lines of this.

Dear diary, today I ate a chocolate bar. It was very tasty. That wasn't the highlight of the day, though. You see, I found a dollar on the ground. I plan on buying another delicious chocolate bar with it. By now, my teacher probably thinks I'm mentaly insane. If she reads this, she'll probably ask me to see her after class. But maybe she won't. When she sees that my grammatical and spelling skills are better than that of other students, she'll probably have an orgasm and try to have sex with me in the janitor's closet. I really look forward to it. She has a pretty nice ass.

I prefer when they give us a topic. Gives us something to go on.
But when the topic is lame (For example, pirates and the mysterious treasure chest) it makes me cringe, and I twist it up and change it to make the original topic given either awesome, or just barely passable as the original topic.

To answer your question though, free writes can be a bi7ch when you don't know what to write about. But when you get going they're no problem.

I don't mind it at all. :)

I love free writing/open subject assignements. I once did a presentation on Killzone 3 ( it had just come out). Teacher gave me a 94%. If you're having trouble, just talk about a subject you like, say video games
