Because sex isn't the most important thing in this world contrary to popular belief. And to use your friend for just that IS heartless.

So..because sex isn't important in your view people shouldn't have relationships that revolve around it? That's pretty egotistical. Alot of relationships thrive from their sexual side and last as long as any releationship. And you seem to be operating under the belief that someone is being used,while it is,in fact,a consentual arrangement.

It is not in anyway, heartless. We're all able to make our own decisions in life,it's up to the individuals to decide if they wish to persue such a relationship.

the concept of "friends with benefits" is having sex with no emotional attachment. if you understand what you're getting into, then nothing can get screwed up. it's not that complicated. no one is using anyone, and both party's get what they want. everybody's happy.dooly420

Sometimes feelings get in the way of "understanding". Thats how things can get screwed up and that is also my point. Ever heard of unforseen complications?

I cannot. You're making it out to be a situation where one party it completely unable to make a consious decision and the other is taking advantage.

Sex IS NOT a bad thing. Despite your earlier comment,sex is a wonderfull experience,and if two people want to share it together,with or without emotion attatchment,than it's still a beautiful thing.

Dirty? Certainly not. It is perfectly natural. But that's the thing. it is one of the most primitive act one could do. Giving in to ones most basic natural instincts and desires. I like to exercise a certain amount of control. I am by no means saying it's bad to just have sex or sex before marriage or any of that. I'm just saying people toss it around a little more casually than they should.
