Do you have friends that you really care about and like but you still feel they dont really put that much effort into your friendship?

Like they always wait for you to organise something, contact them first and have to wait till they're free to do stuff. You still do it eventually.

Yes, I do. Some people are just... horrible friends. And what's worse, they think they are like the best friends anyone could ever have. However, I still talk to them and also really friendly to them because I am a friendly person. Or dumb. Most likely the latter.

A number, yes. Essentially I'm the one that everyone goes "oh come on and do this one small thing, I promise I'll repay you!" to, when they in fact never actually repay me. Gullible, easily taken advantage of, a toy for people to use, et cetera, they're all pretty descriptive of me in this regard, and I don't really see it changing.

But I also have great friends, so it makes up for it.

So, you mean, you put something together to do with your friends. Then, when they can, they do it with you.... What dicks!

I have a friend who's a complete areshole when hes drunk. Most of us are all pleasant drunks, just have a massive laugh and a good time, but this guy is an absolute c**t. He slags off anyone and everyone for no reason, and is really horrible about really nice people behind their back, and tries to start stuff with people who do nothing to deserve it. First few times I met him I thought he was a really cool guy, buts he seems to be more of a douche every time I see him. And hes like a part of the group now, so its a bit annoying. Everyone else I'm friends with is pretty cool tbh. At uni at least, back with my 6 form mates, I would have to organise anything and everything or we would all spend all day inside playing xbox 12 hours a day. And I am no longer a gamer, so I'm glad to have outgoing friends who like to get together and have a laugh. I think its been good for me to meet them, because I am quite socially inept and find it hard to make friends and socialise, and I'm getting so much better.

I had many friends, but yes they're the types that I care with but do not care back. It's not that they don't care for me always though. Then I also feel that I'm not that noticeable. A bit lonely if you ask me.

They still respect me though. When people mess with me, I teach them not to mess with the likes of me. Even if I know he's got advantage physically, I'm not scared. True.

Well, I might actually fit that description. I almost never organize or call up my friends to do anything. I do talk to them on a regular basis though, it's just that most of us live in different towns, and since my friends work weekends often, they're usually the ones who decide which weekends to take off and organize a get-together/party/etc because they have more friends than I do. *shrug* Though if someone gives me enough notice for something, I'm not going to hum and haw about it, I'll say yes or no as soon as I can check my schedule.

Nope, i tend to be more of the passive type in friendships myself. I've had bad friends who were bad for different reasons howeveri quickly stopped regarding them as friends nad they became acquaintances even if they did still think i considered them a friend.

Yeah I've got a few. One of my best mates hasn't spoken to any of us since we finished college almost 6 months ago. It's a shame really, but if they're too lazy to call any of us up then I'm not going to go chasing them. My Dad's always said that you find your real friends during your adult life, which is fairly true I suppose.

My advice is to concentrate on your "good friends" and just let the bad ones fade away.

Haha! Since a few of my friends and my sister moved, I only have about 2 friends that I can hang out with. But I'm the one who makes the plans, ask them, and everything but they are always too "busy" to do anything. I even tell them of how I'm always home, bored out of my mind, and yet they tell me the fun things they did while I'm stuck at home. For example, I asked my friend to go to the beach with me but she complained that she doesn't like it when the water is cold but she has no problem going kayaking when a guy from her class asked her.

I have friends like that and at times I stop trying to make plans with them. After i stop trying they text me and complain that I haven't been a good friend since I never try to hang out with them. I just do a facepalm when this happens.

I used to, but as I grew a bit older, I decided these "friendships" are not worth the effort. I'm talking about the so called "friends" that, whenever they ask something, I was there to help out. But if it's the other way around...they have no time.

Yeah. We now do not hang out with him often. He was like part of our group and started being a d***. He would just assume someone would give him a ride or pick him up and he never had money and owes so many people money and probably won't pay them back. that's why we try not to hang out with him.

I pretty much only talk to my friends online. Everyone's busy and have their own separate life, its almost impossible to deliberately set something up to get together. Its just not worth the effort at the end for everyone

Yeah, I had some really bad friends for most of high school. It started off nicely in 10th grade, but it all went to hell in 11th grade and I finally decided to just walk away from an entire group of like 10 people at the beginning of senior year because I'd just had enough. I was able to strengthen friendships with other people (who are now my best friends), and it was a great choice in the end.

To be honest, Im kind of a loner type of person. Like yeah, I got friends, but those people are the ones that only gets on Facebook to talk to me, and half the time, I don't get on there. I mean, I got a few friends that are really funny, and also fun to be with, but I only got like 6 friends that I actually like in the whole school, and their busy half the time (along with myself). The people that actually called me "Friends" at school are the ones that doesn't take me serious, and like what I said before, they talk to me on Facebook, which is a Excuse of calling me a friend just for that. Also, I hate these so called "Friends" that always want me to help them get them Money (never do it unless they give me something), when it's the complete Opposite (when I say it to them), they wouldn't give me crap, which is why Im a loner, with few cool friends that are actually FRIENDS, at school.

I don't have bad friends, but Im just more of a loner type of person. It's nice to have 2, or 3, buddies come over my house and play some Halo Reach with me or what not, but like what I said, Im more of a loner type of person, and I hang out with people that I like, and not people that called me "Friends" when we're not.

I have a friend like that right now, actually 2. One of them I always have to be the one to make the call and hook something up otherwise we'd just lose contact...

The other, I've helped alot and have gone out of my way to be a great friend to him yet he can't ever go out of his way for me

I even used to have a girlfriend like that, whenever she'd be upset about anything I was a great boyfriend and comforted her and was ALWAYS there to listen to her and talk to her whenever she was going through something and needed someone to be there for her, I also had to make date arrangements because she never would. I broke up with her when I started to notice that whenever I needed someone for support or was sad and needed someone to talk to she wasn't available all the sudden. It wasn't very often that I needed to be comforted either because I'm a super happy person but for those times that I did she couldn't be bothered to do that. :P

Not now. If they didn't put in effort then we stopped talking. Now I have no real friends because I'm not interested in casual acquaintances. Either you are a friend and act it, or you're not important. Sadly almost everyone is unimportant.

No. Because I fit that description, therefore I'm not the one organizing stuff and what not. My main reason is that I don't really have anyone that I'm good enough friends to call them up and be all like "hey you want to hang out?".

Had the same issue here. A few good friends I had instantly turned into complete asses a year later. Why that happened I'll never know.

I have those friends that are trying to good but end up going on the wrong path
