Do you have that safe feeling that nothing can go wrong when death happens?

I have that feeling that when death happens nothing goes wrong. Nothing or nobody can hurt you after death because its an natural part of life. Looking at death as an natural part of life makes it feel like nothing can go wrong. Im atheist so im not gonna be scared of anything so I will just be a see it to believe it guy. Like if something went bad in this life I have the choice of ending it but christians say you go to hell when you dieand you have no choice to end it, I dont believe in hell.

Death will hopefully be a peacful end to life. No more stress or worries. Of course, death also takes away all the good things of life too, but in the end what matters is what we're doing now while we're living. I'm agnostic, though, so I can't be certain what happens after death.

I'm scared of how sad some people would be if I ended my life, so in that sense I don't feel my death is safe since people will get hurt.

No, because I can't even comprehend how strange living is.

I prefer just not talking about death at all, and going on with our lives. I'd prefer to have lived an awesome life and spend eternity in hell then to of spent all of my life wondering what is after death.

I'd live for a thousand years if I could. There's nothing to look forward to in death - you just end. Anything is better than nothing.

Life is the gift part. Once you die your gift has ended. You will be neither Heaven nor hell and be nonexistent. You'll be stuck between the both worlds for enternity.

Youmay walk the earth and see it get destroyed little by little.

I've been dead many times. It's really a pitch black abyss of nothingness.

Death is just non-existence. There was a period of non-existence before you were born, and you are not afraid of the time before you were born. Basically, time passed infinitely fast until you gained consciousness, following that logic, as soon as you die, time will pass infinitely fast until you regain consciousness again. Now, what If you never regain consciousness for eternity? Well we cannot comprehend that. I definitely beleive that when you die, there isn't just "nothingness" or "nothing happens". it doesn't make sense. Personally, I'd probably say in a few billion years you awake. How, why and where I don't know. But the point it, as long as time is passes so fast, there is limitless possibility for an event to occur which will bring you out of non-existence, just as you were brought out of that state when you were first conceived.

The brain dies when you die. You loose the ability to have thoughts among other things. You probably won't even know you're dead. I'm just fine with that. Life's already hell so wouldn't want it anymore.

Death is like sleep with no dreaming without ever waking up.

ah indeed.

I cant say for sure since I aint dead yet, but I would imagine that It would be calm, I do not fear death, ive seen it quite a bit (old folks kicking the bucket, and sick people who seems so reliefed).

I do not really fear death, only if it is a painful one. Death is the most natural thing every person is going to experience, I see little reason to fear it.

Only two things can make me nervous about croaxing, one is if I have some dream, or wish I would never be able to do. It would be an annoyance.

the second is if I ever do something I really regret for the rest of my life.

If none of those ever pop up, then I see no reason to fear death, I lived my life how I chose, and when the day comes I will be happy to close my eyes, and be happy that I indeed decided what I would do, and how I would live my life. No regrets, no fears.

I do know that the concept of not existing anymore can make some people quite scared, some even spend thier whole life trying to expand thier lifes as much as possible, which is a shame. They will rarely get to enjoy life a lot, and live in this odd fear, of something that can never be prevented.

Ive found that it is not a matter of religion, some people just aint afraid, and others are... I am quite certain that when it happens, I will see it as something that had to happen.

If I believe in no further life after death, I see no reason why I can't also just recognize that things that usually cause emotional trauma are merely passing whims and I have no reason to see life as bad. Only anticipating the last stage of a life is just as bad as only planning/hoping for the last stage in an "eternal life" in my opinion.

Yep, I'll throw my hands up in the air, declare that I'm invincible, and then a canister of liquid nitrogen will spray on me, freezing me solid.

Well, the way I see it, if I just disappear after death, then whoop de do. If there is something after death, then it'd be pretty interesting, unless the Christians were right, but I really doubt it.

well, nothing goes right either. On a sidenote: The question of death turning into a religious debate always amuses me, or debate based on faith overall. If you wish to know what happens to your car when you turn the engine off, you do not consult your local priest, you consult a mechanic or engineer. The priest is the least qualified person to form an opinion on the matter.

Meh if I die I die. When I die I want people to laugh in my absence instead of crying about it.

Maybe its like being retarded. Retards cant understand some things. Dead people cant understand anything.

A lot of things can go wrong after death. the only difference is that you can no longer correct things after life. I say live wisely.

i don't know why you're asking a group of (supposedly) living people this question, unless there are a few dying Gamespotters still on the board.
