Good idea. I'll get to work right away.
Nope. Theres a few people the same last name that is similarly spelt in my phone book, and even though people don't seem to know the name they tend to write it that way or closer to that way.
I think my dad said theres someone in... Pennsylvania? Somewhere. With the same name.
The name might be a tweaked version with the spelling due to moving to new countries forever ago in my family tree.
My surname is pretty common.
My wife actually had the same surname before we were married - but don't worry, we're not related. :P
I don't know any unrelated people with the last name Haggard. Other than the gay singer and the gay ex-pastor.
Mine pops up on television and in books (one of the characters in Jurassic Park has my last name) but I've yet to personally meet anyone with the same last name as me.
No, my last name is very uncommon. I used to get made fun of for it in elementary school. O_O
I found out it originated in England though.
And because it is so uncommon, I've found alot of direct ancestors of mine, therefore helping me discover my long lost heritage. :)
Actually, there is a writer named Otto Veenhoven here in netherlands. He wrote an autobiogrphical book about his life in prison for murdering his father or something. Well he was searching his family tree, and came to visit my parents for a cup of tea. We had a ex-convict in house for about an hour and a half :P
my last name is veenhoven
Edit: PS, when he visited he gave us a copy of his book, so we knew what he did only after reading the book
