I am too
[QUOTE="cybrcatter"]I do it out of courtesy and reciprocity, but it's nothing I yearn for. clayronThat's weird. I honestly yearn for it. You are ruining a perfectly good stereotype :x
For me there is nothing better than a home cooked meal. So no I rarely eat out. Maybe twice in a 6 month period.
When I read the title of this thread, I thought something dirty. -_-

Hey, don't steal my thunder!!!!
We eat about half of our meals, maybe a little more, out; lots of options here. San Francisco has one of the highest counts of restaurants per capita in the USAxaosSan Fran has some lovely restaurants. Have you ever been to the "oldest italian restaurant in America"? I went there when I was on vacation...my god, the lasagna was the best I've ever had.
I rarely eat out, but that is more because of my desire to eat healthy and spend less money than I would if i were to eat out a lot
Could have worded the title a bit different:P I am afraid to read all the responses now.Dracula68I can't even take any of the replies seriously at all.. especially not these ones:
Sunday is my favorite day to go with the family for eating out. :)
N-REAL
I love eating out, I just can't afford to. wstfld:lol:
Not so much, lately, unless you count the cafe at work (and if you'd been there you'd have a hard time classifying it as food). There's a pretty nice selection of ethnic eateries, holes-in-the-wall and down home mom and pop places near me, so I'm lucky in that regard.
I am a fairly good cook but I also love to eat out.
Having worked in food service I know how people rely on tips.
they get the message:
Like most people my tip is service dependent.
I don't remember every leaving no tip except for that time in Jenner by the Sea.
I got sick to my stomack during breakfast. they got me out of there fast and my friends with me.
it was not good advertising.:?
have left 10% (or a little less) when I have been displeased and have gone to 40% on rare occasions.
my dad on the other hand always left dollar or two until he decided to make it 10% all the time
(you know the kind - one of the old guys who dreams about the old days and wants to live in 1960 again)
so when I visit I cover the tip.
I'll only eat out if it's in a hygenic situation, sometimes when I go to eat out, you can just smell uncleanliness and then I go to a higher location.
I read this expecting some sort of innuendo to eventually pop up. I are disappoint. :(I am a fairly good cook but I also love to eat out.

Not really. I hate that gratuities are somehow insisted upon (and some employees are even dependent on them for money earning), despite some people giving really bad service. On top of that, it is very expensive and I find the atmosphere to generally be a little to "public" for my tastes. I generally prefer take-out/delivery if I am looking for something nice to have with the GF.
