[QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"][QUOTE="half-pat92"]Bands like Pantera and Metallica r really hard, but unlike 2day's metal bands, it's more classic and while the guitars r heavy, they don't scream every lyric really hard in the song, and also aren't emo, like most metal bands 2day.

*listnes to some lamb of god and unearth* doesnt sound emo to me

I listen to metal but usually for the instrumental part of it. Just cant get into stuff where you dont understand a single word of what they are saying or screaming. A lot of bands have this idea that to make your music sound heavy and evil you have to scream your guts out. I think it all comes from the lyrics personally. Good example is Children of Bodom. I would listen to that band non stop for the instrumental if i could phase out Laihos awful screachy screams somehow. Them and Arch Enemy. I respect Mike Amott's guitar skills but who the hell decide to let that chick sing for them?! (If you haven't seen her, picture Christina Agulera in tight leather screaming in a manly evil voice)

Super hard metal?  Well he the "hardest" band I've heard (and semi-enjoyed) is The Faceless www.purevolume.com/thefaceless

I prefer metal w/ a mix of clean vocals and screaming, such as Still Remains, As I lay Dying, and Demon Hunter.

O, and the band in my sig 8)
