they are ok.

where I live, the police are awesome. I was pulled over for a DUI once, and I should have rightfully been put in jail for the night. Instead the cop asked if I was going to anywhere but home, and I told him I wasn't. He let me go, and I went home and haven't drank anything more than one beer before driving ever again.

There is one place where I used to live, where the cops were freaking Nazi's. I disputed a speeding ticket once, and took it to court. Actually got a 'not guilty' verdict, but that's a story for another time and place.

I know some of them, and yeah, they seem like OK cops, but I'm not going to put all my faith in their wonderful funderful services, which is why I own more than one firearm.

When I got shot twice in the chest, a cop was on the other side of the street and he did nothing out of fear.

Yeah. It was around 11pm, so no one was around to help.. I had to "crawl" all the way to the hospital (which luckily wasn't really far).

well when i use to live in chicago i liked the police alot there. they were fair and some of them were actually really nice. plus some of them even got me off the hook for little things. now i live in the suburbs and its just different, i cant stand the police here. most of them have nothing better to do so they just get you for the smallest things like littering. and if you have a conversation with them theyre actually pretty mean. what about you guys?mesocoo98

I live in the Chicago suburbs too and you are exactly right. The cops in Chicago are great. In the burbs though the police are terrible, they don't really have anything to do so they make huge deals out of absolutely everything. In Chicago I feel like the cops are there to help me, in the burbs I feel like they are almost agasint me.

They are not too bad.

But I kind of prefer Sting solo.

No the cops in my area are crooked and corrupt. Want proof? Ok, well the sheriff got got convicted fo selling drugs out of the back of his cop car and he also got convicted of rape. Several other deputies were convicted as well. All of this took place early this year...

uh oh, remind me not to get in the way of the police here, we only got seven points. One of my friends dad is a police officer too.

You'd be lucky to see them. If you see a police car go past you think something big is going down, which is quite sad. They just don't patrol anymore.AirGuitarist87

round here they hardly ever patrol too and when they do patrol they seem to pick on all young people they see around instead of going after the ones that actually cause trouble

Big City cops are generally cool, though it varies on the neighborhood you are in. It seems if you do something minor, they dont really care to much so long as you dont give them attitude.

Where I live the towns have been between 40k-70k people, so its pretty small and there isnt a lot of crime. Right now I am at a college town so the cops live to give us young people crap, even though I am not a college student.
