I used to love the rain, I'm singing in the rain la la la la la... till I went to my Grandma's funeral and it was raining super hard and people were crying and ... yeah it was depressing.... Now I dont like the rain it makes me sad... makes me think the negative parts of life and how..

Sorry I am getting off topic, haha so yeah, do you guys enjoy the rain? Does it soothes you? Does it relaxes you or gets you pumped?? Or does it make you sad like me and wishing for the sun to come back *tear*

It's nice when I'm home, but hiking through it for 4 days gets kinda old.

got a story to tell there?

Nah, I wish I had some sort of epic story but I don't. :P

The Appalachian Trail through MA got decimated this summer with all the rain that hit the northeast and it was literally just a running creek for 50+ miles. Just gets kinda old slogging through mud 6-12" deep, pouring rain, and swarms of mosquito's for days on end.

Yes, I do. I like it more when I'm inside though, as being outside results in cold and wet.

Yeah, I got got some. I can PM them if you want.

That's awesome you're looking to do the trail. I'm gonna finish up my last section this summer, and I can't wait. Been sectioning for 3 summer breaks during college now.

Funerals... eww. A depressive gathering where people say their final good byes to someone who can't even hear you. Please cremate me and throw my ashes in the garbage and forget about me. That's all I would want. And rain is awesome.

funerals are as much for the mourning as they are for the mourned.

but I definately see where you are coming from and feel the same way. Though I want a wake; get trashed and blast music and eat a lot of good food.

I hear ya. It was weird because the Pacific northwest got basically no rain. I had a 30 day Army training course just south of Seattle and I was expecting rain everyday, but it was just hot, dry and dusty the whole time. It's like the regions got switched. I got the best of both worlds last summer.

I think I might be the only person in OT who likes a nice and sunny day.

Rain is fine I guess, but to those who love snow I have one question; Are you off your rocker? That stuff is evil, pure white, fluffy evil! Driving in the stuff is a nightmare; when the snow banks on the sides of streets end up taking 3/4 of eachlane it is nothing short of torture trying to maneuver through the labyrinth of white and brown trying to get home from work whilst your freezing your butt of in -20 weather without being able to see a damned thing cause the snow is so thick and your windshield is frosted! Not to mention you have to drive half the speed limit lest you crash and die! Also snow ruins all good plans "Hey Jim, wanna hang?" "NO! theres a snow storm coming and I don't wanna leave the house cause I'll crash my car!" UGH! Damned snow!

Gosh, can't wait for summer.

I love rain, it's soothing and relaxing, there's few things I like more than sitting in the dark and listening to the rain outside, it's an incredibly beautiful sound. And I don't mind getting a bit wet either. :P

Also, my favorite weather is cloudy or rainy, the perfect day for me weather-wise is one where the sky is just completely grey from sunrise 'til sunset, and then when the sun sets it starts to rain and it rains all night long. I love those kind of days.

Depends.

If i´m spruced up and have to walk outside for any distance; no, i do not like the rain.

If it´s a lazy sunday afternoon and i´m sporting a hoodie and sweatpants, making my way to the kiosk, then yes, i absolutely enjoy the rain.

Hard to say. Sometimes I like rain, sometimes I don't.

Thing is, not all rain is equal. It's not simply an "either/or" thing. Stating that you do or don't like all rain is sort of like stating that one does or doesn't like all movies or books. It's case-specific. Some movies suck, some rain sucks. Some movies are awesome, some rain is awesome. For most people that I know, it's at least a little bit more complicated than simply saying "I do/don't like it".

When I am in shelter, the rain is fine. I don't like it when I am driving while it's raining. It's even worse especially when the windows in my car fog up while I drive in the rain because of the cool temperature outside. It sucks so much, and merging into a lane is very scary.

I like it on a cold weekend with nothing to do but stay inside and watch movies, otherwise not really.
