I will leave Penn and Teller to let ya know about Wal-Mart. Lot of truth to what they have to say.
Palantas
Hehe, I enjoyed that.
Did ya watch all 4 parts?
Seriously though, you see stores that were already empty because no one shopped there previously even when a Mom & Pop store was in there. I shop many places for my needs be it Wal-Mart, Borders, Rural King (a line of stores in Indiana), Publix, Best Buy, Leroy's Liquor or Hodge's Army Navy store. I have no problem paying for a quality product (there are some things I will not buy at Wal-Mart) no matter what the store, but many people want to pay as little as possible.
I see people complain about no jobs, but Wal-Mart at least has jobs. If you want jobs, pay a bit more for a product that is made on shore instead of off shore. The biggest problem now is that the US has moved away from a manufacturing entity to a service entity. Everyone wants a white collar job, but no one wants to make the stuff the US uses or needs so manufacturers move the jobs to where labor is cheaper.
People who say the government needs to do more need to create jobs should look in the mirror to see why we are in the shape we are now. Wal-Mart survives because of how cheap people are.
