I own an acoustic guitar, but I don't know how to play it.

I looked it up on guitarcenter.com kap and it was 800 bucks. But I hear it's not too good for heavier rock and metal. But perfect for blues and classic rock.scar-hawkWhen I got mine it was around $630. The JB humbucker in the bridge is definitely hot enough for me when I play metal, but then again I don't ever delve into anything too heavy (I mostly play Megadeth, Metallica, etc.). The guitar is very versatile; it is great for blues, rock, and pretty much anything else. It even has coil taps so that you can get a nice, thin single coil sound when you want it. However, for a heavy metal guitar the Schecter Hellraiser with EMGs would probably be a better bet.
I have a Yamaha Electric / Acoustic Guitar. It may not be a "top shelf" brand, but I'm completely satisfied with it.
I want to get an electric guitar someday, but my parents won't let me. They say it will be too noisy. :x
