[QUOTE="V4LENT1NE"]I was brought up to always take my shoes off in peoples houses and of course my own, even when someone tells me I may leave my shoes on I take them off anyway.KiIIyouYour socks will get all dirty. Your socks get dirty but they cleaned up the floor at the same time..what's wrong with that?

You probably should tell him to stop wearing his shoes in your house especially if it's bugging you. I mean, it's your house so you should be the one to make the rules right?
At my house I always take my shoes off before walking around. It's probably cuz I'm asian :P, and my parents hammered that rule into my head, but taking your shoes off when you walk into someone's house is simply a sign of respect. But if the owner doesn't do it, and simply doesn't care, then I just keep my shoes on. :)
I just told him, but he's still wearing them when Im not around..well, I guess he will have to move out when June comes his last month. thats how's it's gonna be.You probably should tell him to stop wearing his shoes in your house especially if it's bugging you. Pssh... get a court ordered evictions for shoe harassment. No need to wait until june.I often do. I certainly have no habit or mania of removing them immediately or shortly after entering my house. It's just not something I'm concerned with - sometimes I'll spend the entire day with my shoes on, sometimes I'll remove then as soon as I get in so I can lay on the couch.
Slippers only.
With that said, I find it that wearing shoes at home or being bare-foot is equally bizarre.
used to. dont anymore.
i wear socks though.
i do however put on my slides when i clean the kitchen. as sometimes a couple water droplets will end up on the floor, and i dont want to step on them. i hate stepping on a droplet of water with my socks on, make that part of the sock stick to your foot.
my slides are usually on long enough for me to get to the couch then i kick them off.
How is being bare foot bizarre?[QUOTE="nunovlopes"]

I find it odd. You eventually get cold feet, and no matter how much you clean, there will be always some dust that you collect as you walk. Don't like it.

Not to mention, it's dirty. Would you sit bare-assed on a nice couch? If no, then why would you walk barefooted on a nice floor? This is going off-topic, but I've seen people walking barefoot in a market! Ok, it was a beach location, but still. Your feet will literally turn black.

I don't get cold feet and if your feet are noticeably collecting dust, your house is disgusting.[QUOTE="nunovlopes"]

But no I don't wear shoes inside.m25105It's normal for a lot of Americans depends on whom. not everybody no.. other countries are rare.
According to all the American sitcoms I've seen over the years, I thought that wearing shoes in the house was the norm. But no I don't wear shoes inside.m25105I was going to post about this. I don't think I've EVER seen a sitcom where people were barefoot in their home. They are always in shoes (on the coffee table, on the bed, everywhere) and when they get out of bed, they are instantly in slippers. I've never understood it. Is it some kind of TV rule that you never show someone's feet?

[QUOTE="Pirate700"]You aren't really comparing a foot to a butthole are you? Neither was I, as the human body produces oils, salts, and wastes that are present on the surface of the skin. These substances can damage and stain upholstery, carpets, and finishes on floors.Nothing like a couch covered in skidmarks and oily butt cheek stains. :P[QUOTE="thegerg"] No. Does your butthole touch a surface when you sit o it without pants?thegerg
