Do you play the lottery?

I guess this is only for those old enough, but does anyone buy lotto tickets?

Do you play the same numbers each time, or do you have a "system" that you use?

I do now, but mostly because I have more disposable income than before. I figure $24/month is worth it.

When the jack pot is WAY up and i happen to be "home" yea, Ill buy like 5 or 10 bux worth of tix. I also enjoy throwing my money away at casinos. Its a better alternative then goin to the bars for entertainment. At least for me. But thats not what this topic is about lol.

When I choose numbers, I generally just do a whole 'random' thing... but if a numbers calling out to me I will pick it. One time when I was little i was watching tv and they were callin out the numbers and I guessed every single number they called out BEFORE they called it. My dad was like 'Wow'. lol. Wish that happened EVERY time :evil:

haha, i hear that. In the last 4 draws, I've matched one number at best. Yet, I keep on playing.

Six double digit numbers, so 99^6 = or one in 941 billion. At those odds, the actual prize for a $3 ticket is way too low.

Nope. If you play the lottery then you beleive there is chance that you might win. If you beleive that then you also need to be deathly afraid of a neon meteor ricochetting off of Pluto, crashing through your home, and destroying your house while leaving a crater that unearths Jimmy Hoffa and Bronson Pinchot. Because the odds of either one happening are about the same.

That and I worked at a casino for several years and lost all interest in gambling while I was there.
