I prefer using a firm mattress because I fall asleep faster that way. What do you guys prefer?

Firm.

I'm a bigger guy and the larger you are the firmer you want your mattress. At least that's what the professionals say.

Though to be honest I don't think I've really tried out a soft mattress.

Side sleeper, so like it on the softer side. If i'm on my back, I like a lower-back cushion to firm me up.

I prefer soft. I'm pretty thin.

I guess somewhere in between, I don't like it to be too firm otherwise I feel like I'm sleeping on a gym mat. Too soft and then I will eventually get a sore back or just too hot from sinking into it.

Firm. Soft ruins my back. I am a side sleeper so I usually go with semi-firm.

A bit on the softer side but toward the middle. I ordered the King Nectar Premier mattress and adjustable frame but they are waiting patiently (more patiently than me anyway) until the garage conversion gets completed.

It's been a couple/few months now and slow hard work with just two of us doing the conversion but by the weekend we are finally going to be taping/mud the drywall. Then onto the paint and flooring and voila we have an extra 500 Sq. ft. of living space including a master bedroom, workshop, and half bath.

I'll finally have a work area to start my business, and I have a lot of plans including proper lighting and a photo taking area to properly market my inventory.

Excited to say the least.

I think both are fines options. I've been in situations where I've had to sleep on the floor, sleep on a thin mattress (practically no padding), firm matresses, and soft matresses. I guess for me it just depends on what my body needs at the given time. Right now i have a mattress that I thought was soft (tempurpedic), and yet when I went to an Airbnb in a Yurt, I slept in the most blessed mattress my body ever had the privelege of sleeping on; and sleep I did.

definitely firm. i'm tall and prone to back problems, and after a few nights sleeping on a soft mattress I definitely start getting more back pain.

Firm.

I preferred sleeping on the floor when I was little. I would roll out of bed every night because it was the only way I could get a good night's kip.

I don't do that anymore, mind. It offends hosts, plus my bones got bonier or something. It's just not as comfortable as it was when I was nine or ten.
