For me, I remember it was the American Tail soundtrack. Heh, back then, the jewel cases used to be packaged in long cardboard boxes.

Queen at the BBC. It was an import. They officially released it in the US later.
I got it the same day that my family bought our first CD player. It was a boombox with a CD player and dual tape decks. We got the floor model.

First CD? Shoot, I remember the first vinyl record I purchased. It was the John Williams soundtrack to Close Encounters of the Third Kind. John Williams is a good soundtrack composer.
I think the first CD I ever purchased was Harvest Moon by Neil Young.
The first CD I ever got was on like my 12 or 13th birthday Seriously :(Juggernaut140:lol::lol::lol: That has to be one of the worst presents ever.
First CD I purchased on my own for myself was Jay Z's Vol 2 Hardknock Life. But I had tons of CDs that my parents were passing down to me before then. I can't remember what that first CD ever was.
God, I have so many, and so many of them are CRAP! I got most of these CD's around 2nd grade: You know the Now That's What I Call Music CD's that are at like 30 now? I have #4-10 (I'm definatly ashamed of them...). I have Blue by Third Eye Blind (my first decent album). I have Europop by Eiffel 65 (I'm blue, da ba dee, da ba die...), which I still listen to to this day (still falls under the crap category :P ). I have Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper by The Beatles (I have a lot more, but I got them years later). Finally, I have some random Christmas carrols CD's somewhere too.

Indeed he is. Star Wars anyone?Great album. The first CD I bought with my own money would have to be De La Soul's Stakes is High. Still stands the test of time today.First CD I purchased on my own for myself was Jay Z's Vol 2 Hardknock Life. But I had tons of CDs that my parents were passing down to me before then. Yeah, Williams has done tons of great sound tracks to many big movies during the past 30+ years. Star Wars is probably the most well known.

Yeah, I know. It's like they're trying to get little kids to buy it. :o I look back and wonder what I was thinking... my 2nd grade music taste consisted of radio pop, cl@ssic rock, and Third Eye Blind was randomly thrown in there.
Also, why is "cl@ss" still censored?!

You were one awesome 2nd grader;lol:[QUOTE="Guppy507"] You know the Now That's What I Call Music CD's that are at like 30 now?Darth-CaedusSuch an ironic CD name:P If Garbage came back, they should make a new album and title it "Now That's What I Call Garbage". It will be nothing but covers of really crappy pop songs. Is this awesome: y/n?
Yep, Appetite for Destruction by GNR. Bought it right after buying my first ($300?!) CD player in 1987.btaylor2404
$300?! That's like $500 today with inflation. :? Funny since you can get one now for $5...
