No. You? And why? Because God will be happy?

That picture is lame every time it's posted. I'm not religious but people that say grace before their meal are saying thanks for the food being able to grow and for a bounty. They aren't saying thank you for Pedro planting a seed nor do they think God tended to the crops. It's a rather ignorant attempt at humor. This pretty much sums it up.Reed_Bowie

I don't think he realises that "Jesus" is a common Hispanic male name.

They sang their prayer? One time I was at a restaurant and the table next to us decided that saying grace needed to be an entire Broadway production. I'm talking singing, hand waving, etc. It was absurd.

No. I think the idea is absurd. Thank you god for this food you have given us... no, b*tch, thank you MOTHER AND FATHER/ME, for your(my) damn hard work to put this food on the table. Thank you for going to work 8 hours a day at a dead-end job that you probably hate so I can eat these friggin tater tots and not die of starvation and malnutrition like the kids in Africa. Similarly I find it insulting when people thank god (not as in "Oh thank God!", actually "Thank you God for _____")for a positive outcome in a medical procedure. No, not thank you god for curing Patsy of her cancer, thank you doctors and nurses for your care, scientists for your hours creating, testing and perfecting treatments and looking for cures, and thank you surgeons for removing tumors and growths. God didn't have s*** to do with all the work people actually did, so I don't think 'he' deserves credit. Pet peeve, can you tell?XilePrincessFeel better? :P

Why can't everybody just be like the Simpsons?
Good drink, good meat, good God, lets eat.

 That how family meals still are with my family. What do you do when you have a guest over? Just out of curiosity. Make them extremely uncomfortable if they dont?[QUOTE="AussieePet"]i do everyday :) Pirate700
What do you do when you have a guest over? Just out of curiosity. I think most people who do pray, would probably pray even if they have a guest over. I mean, if you do pray, it's not particularly rude to do so if you're the host.[QUOTE="AussieePet"]i do everyday :) Pirate700

I find it rude to put a guest in a situation that they can't take part in (if they aren't religious or of the same faith).[QUOTE="AussieePet"]i do everyday :) th3warr1or
