I do, goes along with my first kiss as well.
i was 15 close to 16, she was 17. absolutely beautiful in my eyes, and she's still the longest relationship i've ever been in. which i dunno if that's sad or what, so i choose not to dwell on that detail too much.
It was also my first relationship where i was making a lot of mistakes, and i was too dumb/stubborn to catch how i was getting treated (friends and family saw it, at the time i refused to see it), basically after a few months it devolved into the sort of "i want you" one day, then the next "i want nothing to do with you", it and this yo-yo effect going on. and like an idiot i kept chasing her trying to win her affections, because i was so caught up in the moment.
i've ran into that behavior once again in the past, and i nipped it after just a few weeks, first by actually bringing up her behavior to her, then in the same night walking away with a smile on my face.
recently had to help a girl friend of mine get through some heart break after going through the same treatment by her boyfriend.
basically surmise the behavior as someone who knows (conciously or unconciously) that they're in control the relationship, and that they "I don't REALLY want you, but it's better to have you then to have no one, but i do want to be available for that special someone that i REALLY think that i deserve."
it's not healthy or right for the person on receiving end of that, and no one should put up with it either.
