A lot of people who play games do that. I don't follow reviews much though, mostly gaming news and previews.

I read a few revies before I make my decision, only in rare cases, such as the orange box, assassin's creed, and call of duty 4, I didn't wait for the reviews.

I follow reviews to the extent that if a game gets a constant set of low scores, than I'll pass. The only time I buy a game without review is when it's something I'm looking forward to so greatly,I'll buy it on release.

yes, but a lot of them read gaming mags, which offer similar content. gaming mags are a bit gimped though: unlike blogs/websites you have to pay, your usually a few days late (if the mag is weekly), and theres no way to disuss it with other people unless they subscribe to the mag.

It's more exciting to randomly buy a game.

On an impulse I bought Golden Sun TLA like 5 years ago and had a blast.
