Do you think Bleach is overrated?

Nah don't think so, i have heard my friends discuss it at time, i have heard it's pretty good, similar action sequences like naruto, but upon me i don't think "overrated" should be the right term to describe a anime that's sorta simlar to another i guess...(hope that makes sense)

I can't say, I've never seen it.

Correction: I don't watch the anime ANYMORE.

I did like the show, but it seems later on in the show into season 6-7 the episodes get to be shorter and shorter till the point where they feel like a the first 10 min is a recap of the last show and you get 15 min of the show and another 5 min ending.. So yeah i think its overrated a bit, but its not bad i guess..

There are better animes out there like Code Geass, Berserk (too bad its only 1 season), Full metal Alchemist and others..

well the soul society arc was amazing,it literally kept me hooked,i watched one episode after another but after that it became a little boring

The Manga is starting to become weak... damn Kubo, but I still love it. :)

They showeda little teaser showing hollow ichigo vs ulquiorra in Bleach Soul Carnival 2 PSP game. Can't wait to see the new episodes once the fillers are all done.

I hate it, I honestly rather tear off my fingernails then watch all the episodes/movies.

It's way overrated. The story went completely down the drain after Soul Society, and now the it's been pretty much reduced to minor characters fighting boring battles for a half a year if not more. I still read the manga and watch the anime out of habit, but boy does Bleach suck right now.

I completely agree. The fighting just got way to repetitive to me as did the story as it's nothing special. That's kinda why I went back to Naruto for the first time in years.

Everyone who's read the manga that I know say it's much better than the anime.

I still like it, but I definitely see why others may not like it as much.

It's nothing special. The action scenes are okay, but the comic scenes are awful. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like most anime attempts at being funny are awful and cheesy. It could just be the over the top facial expressions, but I really hate it when anime tries to be funny. It just never works. I might be missing out on some good comic anime though.

The soul society arc was one of the best arcs in manga/anime history.

I think it is pretty overrated. The writing is bad and often contradicts the story (especially the anime with all the fillers) IMO of course.

Very much so. It literally feeds on filler and cheap combat at this point. (With some shine here and there i.e. Grimmjow) It's hard to be an "experienced" anime fan AND love Bleach to death. Not when other anime does things so much better than what Adult Swim shows you.

once again skip the filler, focus on the Aizen aspect of the story, the fight sequences arent always the best but the twists are pretty awesome, I know gasped the first time Ikaku revealed his bankai, Ichigo's first fight with zaraki is up there.

I dont know what you think a casual anime wathcer is? but most have never heard of death note or FMA and the latter is dubbed mind you

Fillers aside, the anime is good, but no more than any other "good" anime I have seen. That's only if you skip the fillers all together. (Which sadly, I stupidly watched the entire Bount Arc. Soap in eyes now)
Adult Swim aired all three shows, dubbed mind you, so I'm sure they're all mainstream enough, much like Bleach.

As for casual anime watchers, I find the ones that stick solely with Adult Swim, Sci-fi, or Cartoon Network to be missing worlds out there in terms of anime content. And I'm naturally hesitant to listen to their recommendations if they're that limited. (Not saying you are, of course, just my response)

Even without the filler though I don't feel it is anything special, the first series was good and it has good parts, but a lot of it doesn't seem to shine as much as it could. I think out of this and naruto, naruto is better. But neither are top animes they are just fun to watch :) (Minus fillers ofc)

Any anime over 50 episodes usually is. Battles and arcs take too long to pass, waaaaaay too many characters to keep up with, and only a few moments of actual badassery to be enjoyed.SeraphimGoddess

Great action? Sure, if hack-n-slash repetitiveness is great to you. I would like something abit more intellectual like Death Note or atleast Naruto as that anime shows plenty of strategy and tactics for fights such as with Akatsuki members, hell even with the fillers.

Pretty much all anime is overrated

It's going downhill after Soul Society part. No more technique and detailed explanation. All I can see is annoying characters, instant flash speed behind opponent countered by even faster speed, and simple sword swing. Rinse and repeat.

It's pretty overrated yeah. I'm just glad the terrible arc is over. There will be no Bleach for the next 2 weeks, but I can deal with it. I'm just glad One Piece is back after a 4 week break :), god that break was killing me.

I like it, but it is a bit overrated.
