I know all languages can be "beautiful", but do you like the sound of English? If not, is there a language that you particularly like listening to (you don't necessarily have to understand the language)?
I really like the sound of Russian from some speakers; other folks who speak it make it sound more abrasive than German. Arabic can also be really nice.
Too be honest, I've never really though about it much. Yesterday, I saw Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and that guy was singing in Portuguese I believe -- I really liked the sound of the language for some odd reason.
I'm living in France and believe me...some ppl make french hear like if it's chinese or something -___-' (well maybe cause i live outside of Paris lol)
but anyways i find Japanese a really "beautiful" language.^^
I find them all annoying :P I do think of it to be in the less annoying category though, the most annoying ones i've heard are the Asian ones. A lot of people in my school speak them, and they just irritate me. :x

English is most likely the most simplistic language on earth. To me it sounds to plain and simple to be beutiful... Besides you must take the accent into account. English english, american english or australian english, they sound almost like different languages.
Most beautiful in my opinion could be French, Japanese, Kurd, Korean and something like that.

No, English was hard as hell for me to learn, I don't find anything 'simple' about it.

Hm.. No, English is not simplistic. I think the combined elements of all the languages that help make up English make it a very unique representation of language as a whole. It is a very complex language for that reason.
English is my second language and i prefer it more than norwegian, really... I really want to move to America. Not that i hate Norwegians it is that i like english more, it just sounds way more cooler ;)

i speak portugues, it is a very nice language, prefer it to spanish
