You should always have atleast one or two really close friends, who will always be there for you and vice versa.
Seriously! If I didn't have friends to hang out with I would be sooooo boredIf you enjoy sanity.

Well, they can certainly make you life better. I like having some alone time, but I also like to be around others at other times, too. As long as you can get a few close friends, you'll be fine.
[QUOTE="uhoh_hotdogs"]You still socialize.I have no friends, I've yet to go insane.

Yes, but being familiar with other people and having friends is not the same thing.
They're probably not strictly necessary, but they sure do help. thriteenthmonkeAgreed. You could survive without friends, but other aspects of your life would suffer. Even the most introverted person would like a friend or two at times. It's just nice to have other people with whom you can connect.
heck back in standard 6 i used to have girlfriends sorts, like it was girl boy school, it was fun, but i do not want a girlfriend, ofcourse not, i would not mind a sis as i do not have any, but if a ever would havea girlfriend, then that relation wll be normal friendly, with the moraly coded signature.
Not really... I have friends, but I can honestly say I enjoy spending time alone. Maybe I hang around the wrong kind of people ,but I find a lot of my friends get annoying after awhile.
I enjoy my privacy >_>
I used to have4 best freinds
turned out they don't really know me very well
so I leftthem
I believe I'me still alive ,yet
Oh yes, I believe friends are the most important aspect of interaction with other people. You can have all the spouses you want - when things go kerplooey, who are you going to go to for support?
