Do you think God has a sense of humor? If you dont believe in God do you think he would have one?

Personally I think he does, its been a while since I looked into the bible but I remember some pretty funny things?

He's supposed to be understanding to I'm sure he would have one.

When the Isrealites lost the Ark to the Philistines, they placed it before a statue of their god Dagon. When they came back, their statue was face-down before the Arc. They set the statue up again and it happened still.

I think that's pretty funny.

In looking at the person of Jesus, do you really think that he sat around with twelve other men without once falling over with laughter? He was called a drunkard and a glutton by the religious officials because he so often hung out with the common people. People seemed to love being around him, perhaps because he was a joy to be around?

Also, being that humanity was created in the image of God, would that not mean we share the same emotions? Sure, God is perfectly in control of his emotions, but if we share emotions like anger, happiness, sadness, etc., why can we not also share humor?

I don't recall too much humor in the Bible. (Too much = None!) I would think he had humor though. At least to some degree since he in a way invented the concept of humor. I'm pretty confident all the humor he'd use, if any, would be lighthearted and has absolutely no chance at offending someone.Symphonycometh

I may have different point of view from you, but i see this and other topics offensive. God is worshiped by jews, Christians, and Muslims. They all consider him a perfect all mighty being that should not be offended in any possible way. As a theist, you cant say "Ah is god male or female? is he homosexual? does he have a sense of humor?". But as an atheist, you can say about him whatever you want, since you dont even acknowledge his existence. But i expect atheists, out of respect to theists, not to mention God in such offending positions and ideas, even if they dont give a rat ass about him.
