Well I don't know enough about you to say for sure but you should have a decent chance of getting into Yale or even Hardvard. I was accepted by both myself even though I had no intentions of attending either school. :P I wanted an excellent university close to home. Like you, I honestly had doubts that either school would accept so I was a bit surprised when they did. You can do it!!!! :D

'Hardvard' isn't what it used to be.

It is still a AAA school.

Okay just to clarify some things about high school GPA, every school has its own policy. Most are out of 4, others out of 6, some out of 8, some are out of 100. Most schools also have unweighted and weighted GPAs. Unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale is generally calculated by the average of grades where an A is a 4, a B is a 3, and so on, but of course some schools have different policies like giving a 4.33 for an A+.

Many schools also have weighted GPAs in which more rigorous classes are given extra value or "qualities points" depending on the level. For instance, an AP class might be given an extra point and an honors class might be given half a point, so getting an A in an AP class might give you a 5.0 weighted for that class which would likely be how OP has a GPA of over 4.0.

Generally, however, colleges know that there is a lot of variation in the GPA's for different high schools, so class rank, unweighted GPA/transcript, and rigor of workload are generally much more important than weighted GPA.

To answer your question OP, assuming your class rank is decent, your stats will put you about average in the Yale pool, so it will depend a lot more on your essays and extracurricular activities.

Think to yourself, "what would the prudent action be in this situation"?

Then do the opposite.

If you're a white male or asian, you have no shot. Sorry to sound so odd, but most schools have quotas on certain ethnic groups. Your scores are decent, but if you're in one of those 2 groups, you probably need something else to tip the scale in your favor.

Nah, all scores get equalized down to the A+ scale when you actually apply. Doesn't matter what your transcript says. 4.0 scales go up to 4.33 scales and 5.0 scales go down to 4.33.

 Yeah, that was another reason why I had no plans of actually attending that school. I already had more than enough pressure and stress in my life.... :o

And I don't care :)

Let's run down your post history:

Said you are a 16 year old, 6'3", 180 pound "muscular" girl who can bench press 210.

Then said in a later thread that you are 185 pounds.

Said your dad is a 7 foot tall wrestler... so bodybuilding came natural to you.

Said your boyfriend is a 4'3" "little person" and people look at you weird when you stoop down to kiss him.

Said you were adopted.

Said you played on the basketball team "all 4 years in high school".

Created a thread titled "Is there any way to become shorter and lose muscle mass fast?"

Ok, so let's decipher this mess.

You said you are 16. So, how did you play basketball for "all 4 years"? How have you completed 4 years of basketball at 16? Secondly, if you already completed 4 years of high school, then why are you not in college already?

Next, let's talk about your supossed body-type. You said you are a muscular girl at 6'3" and 180 pounds. 180 pounds at 6'3" isn't muscular... it's skinny. And being that tall, and at that weight, I doubt you could bench press 210 pounds, especially considering you are a girl.

Third, You also claimed your dad is a 7 foot wrestler, so bodybuilding came naturally to you. And you also claimed you are adopted. So were you suggesting you got your height from your adoped dad?

And your boyfriend is a 4'3" little person? Doubt it.

And finally, you made a thread titled "Is there any way to become shorter and lose muscle mass fast?" Is that really the kind of thread that comes from a Yale applicant?

You are just trolling, so stop making stupid threads.

Yes ofcourse I got my height from my adopted dad

I played 4 seasons of basket balls, I never said compleated all 4 years of school. And I started a year early.

its possible, some people are able to bench press double their weight, especially if your gens allow it.

Yes of course I got my height from my adopted dad/mom.

Yes, I dated a "little person" not common in this shallow culture but I did.

Am just taking some advice.

Also why do you read all my treads, its really creepy :?.
