If you live in an urban area that has excellent public transportation: no.
Otherwise, you should probably get it.
OMG, me too! :o (Well, I do know how to drive, I just can't do it legally).
I have an apartment close to campus, and pretty much anything I need is nearby though, so it's not an issue.
Plus: We don't pay for gas. That's a lot of money saved.
It's not any big deal at all. I got my license at 17 when all of my other friends were driving at 16. You should probably look into getting one soon, though. Driving isn't as scary nor difficult as you believe. The first few times you will be a pretty crappy driver, but you get the hang of it quick.
However, don't get your license until you're sure you want it.
i do live in the heart of a ubran area so I get around through the public bus system...i dont feel i need a car but i honestly did feel like i was missing out seeing how ppl younger then me seem so independent :? im surprised by the reponses though i thought most of u would pretty much be pointing and laughing
i do want to learn how to drive because i really dont want to be on the bus but i much rather worry about other things that arent even as important like buying games and going to the movies and a bunch of basic junk :D
No driver license and dont know how to drive at all? :( I feel bad that all my friends even most who are years younger then me even have there or are driving...should I be rushing to get one or am i missing out ? I just never got the chance to learn :cry:TheCSPeaceMaker
u should learn it srsly ,not because of ur routine stuff,u might need it bad in an emergency situation.
If you live in a place with public transportation then I guess you don't really need to drive. Still, having a licence and knowing how to drive is useful no matter where you live.
If ity makes you feel any better, my grandmother is 85 and she never learned how to drive. :P
