If you spend the exact time researching, like you did on writing this sentence you would find historical proof that the prophet Jesus lived.m25105

Why not save us some time and post this "evidence?" There is very little historical evidence to support a man named Jesus lived. Even the Romans didn't care to remember him, despite being a thorn in their side. There was most certainly someone who inspired the formation of the "Christian" religion, but what we know about the "historical Jesus" is all but lost to time and mythological exaggeration. His teachings may not have survived had it not been for the supernatural stories attributed to him... but we do not know Jesus as an historical figure.

So you are claiming that there was only ever one James, Joseph and Jesus around that time?

Care to cite a quote from his work? I find it amazing how people just throw out info like this, and then don't post the actual quote or piece of evidence that actually supports their point. And Tacitus talked about "Christ" and "Chrestians" not "Jesus." So try again.

Why? It's pretty evident that you have already made up your mind and despite scholars claiming the prophet existed you still refuse to believe it.

Christ means messiah, so yeah he kinda was talking about Jesus, since he was known as the messiah.

There were many messiah claimaints during Jesus' time. You can't conclude that Tacitus was specifically talking about Jesus when he talked about Christ.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_messiah_claimants

Simon of Peraea, Jesus of Nazareth and Athronges. All Jews claiming to be the Messiah foretold in the Tanakh. Don't even get me started on the amount of religious sages and "prophets" in that area of that time. Being a "holy man" was basically a profession at that time, like it was (and still is) in India.

We can NEVER know the historical Jesus. His real life story has been lost to history forever. All we have is the few fragments of information held within the Bible and other early Christian texts from that time that only reveal a small bit of information about the actual man himself. And never tell the true story that actually happened... only its many-times-retold story that was exaggerated for parabolic effect.

Did Jesus really perform miracles and rise from the dead? Highly doubtful. Did he inspire people to be more than just selfish automatons living their lives hoping for death in rank poverty? Definitely. And which is important to modern life and society? The latter. Does his historicity matter? No. So stop trying to claim that "Jesus most certainly existed" because that will always remain incredibly specious.

Didn't the Jews said that a person can't suffer from other's sins? So in that case, a Prophet.

Jesus actually existed and did miracles by the will of God. He is theLord, theWord,Son of God, Messiah, Lamb of God, and theLight of the World.

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18

I'd say he's a prophet and a son of the creator (more in the sense that every man is) but not in a goddly sense.

Jesus was a cool dude with some radical beliefs that got him noticed and killed. Just because he wasn't the son of God though doesn't mean his ideas aren't worth listening too.
