Oh well, he's gonna be there just for saying many dumb things such as
"I can press when there needs to be pressed; I can hold hands when there needs to be -- hold hands." --George W. Bush, on how he can contribute to the Middle East peace process, Washington, D.C., Jan. 4, 2008

He'll definately be remembered for his stupid quotes, like "Our childrens is learning."
Not the best but he should get honorable mention for putting up with the orchestrated attacks by the Dems and their buddies in the media. nohabs
Attacks go both ways here. Carl Rove tore Kerry a new one which I did not find particularly justified, and of course Fox news tends throw a wrench in the whole "liberal media."
hell no... He is one of the worse presidents I have seen or read about in a long time.. I agree he is some where between Nixon and Harding.. Which is not a complement seeing as those two presidents are considered some of the worse of all time.

I'm certain Bush would attribute all these quotes to "the endless creativity of the internets."

Seconded.
He should go down as one of the worst presidents we have had since the founding of our nation. I only hope he is shamed of his actions and for selling America out to corporate rule (Clinton is just as guilty in this respect too), though you will never hear or see it out of them.
I think he's somewhere in the middle. Mediocre. We've definintely seen worse.supercubedude64
Indeed. I can name a dozen of them that were worse.

Do it, do it, do it :P. And for added fun, no Nixon. We all know he was pretty bad, we don't need to be reminded.

Well, you put me on the spot. I guess I would go with: Buchanan, Pierce, Harding, Fillmore, Johnson, Tyler, Taylor, Grant, Carter, Ford, Harrison, Arthur. I would maybe take out Arthur for Nixon, maybe.

Madison, Van Buren, Pierce, Buchanan, A Johnson, Hayes, Adams
...murkier waters...
Jackson, Filmore, Harding
ten...
I could stretch and add Hoover and Harrison...

Yea, I'd go with Andrew Jackson, too. Seemed to use a bit too much of the executive power.
I would go with Buchanan, Harding, W. Bush, Pierce. I think that today's poll ratings of George Bush are actually a little too high. History will have him in the (less than) 10 percentile.AmyMizuno
Remains to be seen. As of right now, he slightly below average.

Jimmy Carter? :| A worse president than Bush. I would like to know your reasoning sir?

You mean besides his horrid foreign policy? I guess I could go with his insane inflation rate, not to mention his 15% unemployment rate.

His so called "horrid" foreign policy brought peace between the Israeli's and Egyptians and many other Arab states. This peace still lasts today between the Egyptians and Israelis. He was the last US president to truly achieve someting in the Middle East debacle.
And the man who is supposedly better than Carter, Bush has one of the absolute worst foreign policies known to any US president. And his economic decisions have plunged the US into a level of national debt which is spiralling out of control. He's basically done a good job of bankrupting the US.

Iranian hostage crisis? How about when the USSR blew through Afghanistan? Also, I'm never said Bush's policies were great. I said Carters are/were worse.

Granted his handling of the Iranian hostasge crisis could have been better, but the USSR had been looking to occupy a holding in the Middle East for quite some time. It was actually advantageous that worlds nations were looking at the Iranian Revolution which happened the same year as the USSR entry into Afghanistan. You can't really blame Soviet aggression at the door of Carter. Immediately under his governance the US supported the Resistance Fighters, which is all they could do. There was no way in hell the US was going to wage war directly with the Soviets.
