I found out that there is a Sonic Drive In restaurant about 20 miles away from me. I've never had Sonic before and I'm getting sick of the same old BK/MCD/Wendys.

Do you think it's worth driving 20 miles (40 miles round trip) to try it? If so, what do you recommend I get?

I once drove like 100 miles out of my way to go to a Sonic. Wasn't anything special.

20 miles isn't really a big deal, but neither is Sonic's food. I've had it a few times and never found it to be very good. Then again, I really don't like fast food. :P

I'd drive 20 miles for a sonic... I'm not going to lie the food isn't awesome, but it's something you can't get anywhere else. The drinks on the other hand are better than anywhere else.

not really, but whatever if you are tired of the same old thing then perhaps, but I would also just as likely suggest cooking up a new recipe.

I dig Sonic well enough, but I wouldn't drive 20 miles just to go to one.

Thankfully I live a block away from Sonic and many other food establishments and liquor stores.

What do you guys have that is good? I had the Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch burger when I was there and it was pretty bad. The Onion rings were decent though.

The quality of Sonic's food isn't near good enough for the price of it. The only real reason worth going: cherry limeade and slushies.

meh, not worth a 20 mile drive. However they serve breakfast all day and their toaster sandwiches are alright. Happy Hour is between 2pm and 4pm in which drinks are half price.

No. In fact, no food is worth it. In 20 miles i'll drive past 417 other places i could get something to eat. If i am hungry i am only concerned with getting not hungry as quickly as possible while enjoying the food just enough to get it down.

I only eat at specific places over other places when i am driving past it and decide i'd like to eat there.

When me and the wife go out on a date, i pick my places to eat based on how easy they are to get to from the interstate and which side of the road i'll be on when we leave. If im gonna have to drive down the road, throw a u turn and then dig my way across 4 lanes of traffic to get back in the direction of the house i probably have never eaten there.

You guys have it so easy. Back at home (not at my apartment), I have to go 20 miles just to reach the FIRST restaurant. :(

The cheese tots are OK, but not worth a 20 mile drive for them.

Every once in a while, yeah

They have some really good, unique food.

Java chillers I swear are laced with cocaine, there so good.

I only been there once before. It's okay, but I would prefer going to other places.
