Do you think South Park is a good show?

I'm not sure how many people still watch it but there isn't much discussion about South Park anymore, despite being highly popular some years back. I think the ratings are somewhere in the 2-3 million range, which isn't nearly as high as I would think (for reference, Family Guy is about four times as much).

For those of you who watch/have seen it, do you like it, or think it's garbage?

It's good potty humor. Sometimes it gets stupid for its own good but it's still a good show.

Up to this season, yes. But this season has been absolutely terrible.

It's doing much better than The Simpsons, that's for sure.

Yes, I watch the episodes online. Still have quite a few more to see.

Never liked it.

I think it is. Behind the low-brow humor lies a show mocking everything around it, something the internet does on a regular basis.

That and I find it funny.

I liked the older stuff but recently it has been lacking and I haven't really seen in months.

I keep up with pop culture so I still enjoy it though some of the newer episodes are meh and not all that funny, but thank god for netflix streaming the series. I can watch the old episodes any time I want.

Was* a good show

Sometims the crass humor gets out of control, but really it is a pretty funny show. I haven't seen much of the new season, but even episodes from just a couple years ago were pretty great. Like someone said, beneath all the language and crude humor is some pretty clever satirizing of current events, politics, and humanity as a whole.

I've always liked the show. I find it very underhandedly intelligent and very enjoyable due to both the absurdity and there often still being some kind of a moral lesson.

Easily my favorite.

South Park is only a good show if you don't want any intelligent humor. There are a few little clever things, but it's close to being on par with how stupid Family Guy is. If you've turned your brain off, it might be okay. Otherwise, if you're looking for real quality humor, there isn't much there.XilePrincess

Last season only had a few good episodes. Good show but it definitely has been going downhill for years. Hit or miss for sure.

I haven't watched it since I was like 11, when my sister would sneak it on while my parents were gone because we were told we weren't allowed to watch it.

One day I'm just going to sit down with the season dvds and watch it. One day...

It's much better than Family Guy is.

Older seasons are much better than newer ones, it's hit and miss now, but overall a good show though a bit on the overrated side.

Honestly I haven't watched it enough to give a proper opinion, but it comes across that the two writers are just a bunch of basement dwelling men who see something on TV and make jokes about it on their show. It doesn't seem like they put any real thought into their writing.

WAY better than Family Guy or Futurama, or in my opinion like it better than the simpsons. I just thought that Homer was annoying, Cartman is annoying but just gets me every time.ThePurpleRain

I have seen every episode at least three times, and yes, it started to go downhill after TEN or ELEVEN years, but the show is indisputably f*cking kickass. The more you hate it, the more we won't really give a flying cat-orgy f*ck.

South Park is fvcking awesome. Haven't seen any of the new episodes though. And I'm sick of this "intelligent media" attitude that if you like family guy, south park, pop music etc, than your an idiot. A lot of "intelligent" humour sucks anyways.

Overall, it is a decent show. Of course, many mentally inept individuals will lambast any who like it... But I digress. There are certainly better animated shows on television.

Funny you should ask. I never paid much attention to it and the epsiodes I saw several years ago I didn't remember liking but recently I started watching it on Netflix and now I absolutely love it. I watch it all the time now.
