Do you think that the profession of Acting is overrated?

Think about movie stars, etc. I think what they do is great, but you have these millionaires, making money like crazy. Is what they do really that great? I mean, yeah, they're entertaining, but some get paid more than doctors or surgeons...they aren't really saving lives...just entertaing us for a small portion of the day.

I think they are way overpaid, what they do is hard, but come on.....

If I had that much money I would use it for things to help people

They don't get paid for the quality of work they do. They get paid according to the amount of money they can bring in. It's just how capitalism works out. Not much you can do about it.bt_the_great_78

More people go to see movies than to go to a specific surgeon.

The profession that makes WAY more than it should is definitely athletes. The system doesn't work in a way where they should be making millions like that. On top of that, they get the majority of scholarships, which is dumb as hell seeing as I busted my ass on my grades throughout school and got NOTHING for it. The only thing I got was scholarship money for doing well on the MEAP test, which is Michigans standardized test....
