Do you think todays parenting has gotten better or worse compare to the 90's, 80's, 70's, 60's, 50's. If so why?

Today's parenting is way too permissive.

Not that I disagree, but too permissive in what manner/regard?

Parenting has never been this bad. Parents aren't parenting anymore. Parents try to "reason" with 5 year olds, children run the household, parents can't say no, and parents take no responsibility. It's not to say every parent is like this by any means, but parenting is basically a lost art.

Where parents truly failed is this sense of entitlement that children and young adults have.

So far 18% tend toward better parenting now, 50% tend toward worse.

Again, I'd have to say worse with each succeeding generation, with the kids of today being even worse parents in general. I just don't see it getting better until hitting rock bottom.
