I am speaking about humans in general... our future. I think we are doomed. Things are not really the problem. We created all the problems mostly do to circumstance... to achieve a superior level of being we would have to have completley different minds. There are always good moments, but I don't think we will ever finally get anywhere... That is what I mean when I say we are doomed.
No we aren't doomed. As long as some idiot doesn't get control over one of the superpowers then we should all be safe. For how long? Goodness knows. In the end we'll all be dust, and less than that.

Cross your fingers. it can happen, just believe in it. thats the problem with the world today...ppl always expect the worse or dont think things can be better. everything in life comes from thoughts, change the way we think, change the world. it dosen't have to take many to get the ball rolling. there are many individuals in history that had positive influences and changed humanity almost single handedly.

I answered yes originally, but not sure now. The way you worded this makes it difficult to answer. You are basically implying that we are doomed, but you wonder if there may be a way out (hope). I don't think we are doomed and therefor hope doesn't matter much. Not sure if that would change my answer or not. I suppose that if we assume we are doomed then yes there is always "hope". Sadly hoping and wishing are one and the same. Remember the saying wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which fills first. :) Sorry for nitpicking.
