Just curious about people who worship a god, do you think your god has a sense of humour?

Of course.

gods are anthropomorphic constructs. They have all the characterictics of a human because of the limitation of our creativity.

We can only "create" things based on what we see or our environmental influences. so the mental attributes projected on to gods are very human.

No. Not only does god not have a sense of humour, he also suffers from bipolar disorder, as well as schizophrenia. God is also a sociopath.

Though it is using personification, Psalm 59:8 does say of God, "But you, O LORD, laugh at them." Also, Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is a time for laughter among other things, "a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance." The Bible never specifically says that Jesus laughed but if someone believes that Jesus was an emotionless holy-man who only speaks in proverbs and parables then one has a wrong idea of Jesus. Elton Trueblood put it like this, "Christ laughed, and . . . He expected others to laugh. . . . A misguided piety has made us fear that acceptance of His obvious wit and humor would somehow be mildly blasphemous or sacrilegious. Religion, we think, is serious business, and serious business is incompatible with banter." Mark Driscoll has also put it this way, "Can you imagine Jesus and the ragtag bunch of twelve guys who hung with him for three years, without Jesus' ever making them double over in laughter, or Jesus himself at least once laughing so deeply that he snorted?" Really, if you look throughout the Scriptures people seemed to like him (serious religious people excluded). Jesus was invited to all the good parties, he just did not put up with sin.

Whys that? I'm using a very popular verse from the NT, that states Jesus is the Son of God. Unless you're suggesting Jesus impregnated Mary, causing Mary to give birth to Jesus.

Nope, it's called the virgin birth because she was, if you can't guess, still a virgin. There was nothing sexual involved.

How can someone be the son of something that he himself is not? In other words, if Jesus is the Son of God then would this not necessitate that Jesus himself is a God? The son of a man is himself going to be a man. Why is it then not the same case with the Son of God? I am not arguing in favor of polytheism but simply wondering how someone can articulate Jesus as being the Son of God yet not God.

I'm inclined to think so.

God created us in his image, I always took that as psychological/emotional image.

Thereby God would share the same emotional conditions as us, including humor.
