I use both... Facebook to keep in touch with people, and Twitter to post random short rants from my phone (or sometimes my laptop) whenever something comes up.
I have a Facebook account but I rarely post anything on it and don't look at it very often. I signed up for a Twitter account just to be able to conveniently post queries at a couple of shows but I've never posted an entry as of yet.

Well for me staying up to date with the people I care for is more important than things and organizations, making it useful.

Except for when you are away for school and your friends are spread out across the country. Not to mention various family members who are all over the globe. Facebook is useful, some of us don't live within visiting distance and Facebook allows you to see what their up to through pictures, chat, and their posts.
I use both.But use Twitter more.Got like 300 tweets.Facebook not so much,thinking of deleting my account.And Myspace,rarely go on there anymore.Lots of people messaging me and stuff.Receive friend requests every f'n day.
I use facebook, don't have a twitter but I have no problem with people who do... I really don't understand all the hate it and other social networking sites garner.
