Hello,
do you guys use soap for washing face or anything?
I wonder if soaps totally bad for facial skin....
thanks for your experiences.

Of course... I have oily skin, I use a Bar soap meant for oily skin with micro-beads (helps scrub)
I use soap for my face that help dry my skin.
It helps alot. And no, it doesnt leave my skin dry, it will if you dont have oily skin in the first place but I already have super oily skin so it evens out.
Soaps and scubs are not bad for your skin at all. But you got to make sure which is best for your skin cuz like some acne products, depending on your type you can burn your skin (no like actual burn, but has like redness that hurts in the sunlight) or add more oil to your skin (those that say moisturizer).
I dont get as much acne like I used to, but its still something I have to keep in check. There really is no solution for acne but time, as you get older you'll have less and less. Im 24 and I eat probably worse than I did at 18, but my acne was worse at 16-21 than now.
Even the soaps that are not suppose to be for your face is better than no soap.
Of course I do. I have a baby face to take care of after all.
wondered if this was a serious question.
Welcome to OT, (off-topic) here in OT we take any questions very seriously rather it's stupid, cool, curiosity, ect. we want it all here in OT.
Argh....this is so easy to answer but it takes forever to type out....
Don't eat sugary foods, fast foods, alcohol etc. Eat healthier. Drink plenty of water.
Don't sweat so much. But if your doing a physical labour job, then do 2 showers a day instead of 1. 1 in morning, 1 after work.
Shower once a day if your job/school requires no physical effort.
Acne is produced by poor diet and sweat. Mostly from lying on your pillow. So don't sleep on it 16 hours a day either. Be active....but shower.
You don't NEED to wash your face all the time as long as you follow some simple rules.
It is common sense/Hygiene.
Yes i does wash my face, But with water alone.. Nothing else. Whenever i use soaps, sometimes i'd get unexplained pimples. Do note, i wash my hands first with soap, before touching my face. Try not to ever touch your face unless you really really have to .. Like an itch or something.
Not regularly actually. I only do it if I notice skin build up or if it's noticeably greasy. If I start washing regularly (daily) my face dries out and then gets really oily (and I seem to get more skin issues for my effort).
no, thankfully I have good genes in that department.
I used to but I was just kind of wasting my time. A nice scrub (I like the St Ives scrub) does feel nice every now and then.
Oh and DONT USE SCRUBS WITH PLASTIC BEADS that stuff ends up in our rivers and oceans and does not break down, yo.
Must say I'm shocked at how we all have different face washing intervals. I presumed everyone washed their face on the regular seeing as it gets dirty on the regular. I echo @zaryia in that regard.
For those who don't wash their face regularly because it dries out the skin, can't you just moisturize your skin after washing it?
Twice a day while in the shower along with the rest of my body. I take two showers due to working in heavy industry and I also feel I need one in the morning to wake up properly. I never have had much of an acne problem but judging by the things that supposedly cause it I should be riddled with it. Genes I guess.
Just water I find soap brings me out in spot or boil like reactions. The boils are actually under my skin and never come out but go just as quickly. Some times they just scab up and takes ages to go. so these days I just use warm water and a flannel.
Used to, but I have decent enough skin; I don't really get pimples or anything like that. I used to use St. Ives apricot scrub because damn that stuff feels awesome, it scours your face gets all the dirt and dead skin off. Nice and abrasive!
I shower at least once a day; depending on how my work day goes, I might come home covered in a mixture of grain dust, hop slurry, and yeast so I often take a second shower. I live in California though so I try to limit my water use; I love long showers so I have to limit the number of showers I take. I will generally only shower once during the weekend, and only if I am going out for social occasions.
But yeah long story short, no I don't wash my face.
For those of you using microbeads, STOP! Super bad for the environment, use either organic or biodegradable microbeads.
@davillain-: is that too old? I didn't really pay attention. Sorry.
I think someone else bumped it then deleted comment
honestly, given how quiet it is around here these days, I think the bumping of "old" threads should be OK with everyone lol.
No necro threads, though! :P

This is correct. Looks like some spam that we took care of. No worries!
And now that there's a few other posts pertaining to the topic I'll keep it open.
