When I was in eighth grade I went to a private school and had to wear a uniform. I didn't really mind it. The only part I didn't like was that boys had to wear a belt, even if the pants fit fine, and the wrath of the school administration would decend upon you if you forgot to wear one. It was straight out of Office Space:
1st period teacher: "I see you forgot to wear a belt. Do I need to remind you about the dress code?"
Me: "No, I've got it down, I just forgot, that's all. No big deal"
teacher: "Mmm...well just so you know wearing a belt is required by the dress code so you better remember tommarrow or else. Here's a copy of the dress code, make sure to read it over"
2nd period teacher: "Why aren't you wearing a belt?"
Me: "I forgot. I already had this talk though so..."
teacher: "You know belts are required by the dress code right? I think I'll get you a copy of the dress code just so you know"
Me: "No, no, that's alright, I've already got one here, see?"
teacher: "alright here you go, now go sit down"
3rd period teacher: "Has anyone talked to you about your lack of a belt?"
Me: "Yes, every teacher so far. Look, I just forgot okay? One time deal, its not going to happen again"
teacher: "Have they told you that's a dress code violation?"
me: yes, every single one of them! Look, like I said I know the dress code, I just forgot to put on a belt today, no big deal
teacher: "Greeaat, well here's a copy of the dress code. Make sure to read it over so you don't forget"
me: "that's really not nessecarry I've already got two copies here..."
And so on and so forth.
when i was in school we had to wear school tshirts(it started out in junior high,as a part of the latest(well it isn't the latest now, they get upset about the education system about every two years and completely change it all over again-it's quite annoying) education reform-it wasn't at all bad,we did what we want with them(as in not wear it when we felt like it),dicipline has never been strong in israel-we're,kind of, a nation of ad-libbers and manipulators-being rude is part of the status quo, maybe that's why we have so many lawyers(the fact that it's a jewish nation could also have something to do with it..)

No, but I wouldn't really care if I did.
And doesn't everyone have gym clothes? I thought that went without saying.
Well in the High School I used to go to there was no set uniform for gym class until my senior year. I guess it is pretty much standard in all schools now though. No, but I wouldn't really care if I did.
