Alien life has already been proven to exist, just not in the way you mean. Tiny "bacteria" have been found on planets, which technically counts, as they are alive. spike6958

I suspect looking at certain life forms on this plantet expecting to see life forms in the glalaxy is not so far fetched. take the water bear (tardigrades) for example Specimens have been chilled in liquid helium to -457°F (-272°C) absolute zero. They have also been heated to temperatures exceeding 300°F (149°C), Immersed in vats of liquid nitrogen, concentrated carbolic acid, hydrogen sulphide, brine, and pure alcohol, bombarded by deadly streams of electrons inside an electron microscope. Withstand over 1000 times more radiation than humans. Been recorded to survive over 150 years without water. sent into space After 10 days of exposure to space, the satellite returned to Earth. The tardigrades were retrieved and rehydrate to test how they reacted to the airless conditions in space, as well as ultraviolet radiation from the Sun and charged particles from space called cosmic rays. The vacuum itself seemed to have little effect on the creatures, but full exposure to the Sun's UV light, which is more than 1000 times stronger in space than on the Earth's surface killed some. Yet when removed from all of these incredibly hostile environments - which would have proven fatal for any other form of animal life - and moistened with water, these astounding creatures recovered.

It really makes you just wonder what's out there. Think about the edge of the universe. Just think about what that could be like, it's so... unknown. I love astronomy!

The universe is not infinite, if it were, every direction you look would be light, and since there is not light in all directions, the universe is not infinite.

slowpokebro

Is this a fact? How are you so sure that there just aren't any sources of light that far out?

We can't be sure of that, but as far as we can tell the universe isn't infinite.

I like to pretend the universe is like a game of Asteroids. If you go far enough in one direction, you end up on the other side.

What? Expand on that please.

If the universe was globe shaped, the light would bend right back around the other side. Like wind blowing across the Earth going around it multiple times. You'd see countless copies across the sky of the same stars and galaxies

Well we don't know how many planets there actually are, there could be a limited number of ones that can support life.

But there is alien life out there. I believe even intelligent alien life like us (or maybe more intelligent), I believe they exist out there, some where. I belive God made other intelligent beings like us, and some day we will meet some alien beings, but now is not the time.

I don't really believe in UFO's that fly around butt raping people though.

Yeah it is, that is in astronomy 101 courses across the world. Lemme see if I can find my old astronomy text book.

I believe there is. There's no reason to think otherwise.

Oh yeah, there's life out there. Maybe not the stereotypical alien seen in media portrayals, but definitely something out there.
